Coming March 7th, 2012...........

The Machines and BitCoin rise...

EDIT: Viral campaign over.....
Here is the full info.

What is Bitarb?

Bitarb is short for Bitcoin Arbitrage

The Bitarb fund is a 100% computer automated trading platform on the Mt.Gox Bitcoin Exchange and traded on the GLBSE.
Each month 100 shares are issued, each share is exchanged at a rate of 1 Share for 1 Bitcoin. These shares are available at the beginning of every month (On the first day month  before the bot's runtime).

At the end of every month, all bitcoins held & profits (98%) shall be paid out as dividends to the 100 shareholders.
{ example: If today is March 3rd, the available fund for pre-release would be the Bitarb.apr [bitarb april shares] }

Only 100 shares will be issued. On the first day of the shares run month, all the bitcoins exchanged for the shares are
placed into an empty Mt.Gox trading account. Then at 24:00 Eastern Standard Time (est) the bot is started up and a series of trades are made based on an Oscillation Price Retracement Trading Bot or OPRTB for short.

As fluxes in the bitcoin market happen, the bot makes a series of calculations and strategic trading to come out with more bitcoin than it went in with. On the last day of the month at 24:00 Eastern Standard Time (est), the bot is stopped, all bitcoins are transferred directly to the GLBSE account and divided out at a rate of 98% of total account holding (2% goes to running the program and cost associated with it).

*shares for Bitarb.apr available now (100/100 shares sold)
**Bitarb.may will be available to buy from 1st of April 2012

how's the trading fee bonus rolling from trading account to trading account?
afaik with rising trade volume the fees drop down.
next bot could benefit from prev. version trading volume.
that would be worth real bitcoin in fee savings

p.s. 53 shares available

If I'm not mistaken trading fee bonuses are calculated monthly, so there's nothing to lose by using a new account each month. Correct me if I'm wrong!

The MT.Gox fee is a sliding 30 day window, not a hard date.

Well, considering it was already trading, and people like me were wondering what the heck it is, the cat was never really in the bag to begin with. :)

Right now within a 30 day window, my fee is 0.46%. Thats due to the trading volume of the bot. The fees are calculated into the bots performance with 0.6% fees.

Now to the fun stuff...

Over the past 4 months, Smeckles has developed a bot that I have been using to make small trades on Mt.Gox to bring in more btc than generated. During its development, the bots wallet was funded by me. During that time, I saw enough btc gain to decided that I would trust it with my wallet. During that period, the bot either lost around 5% or gained 16% on its best day. After enough run time, the bot had made me enough btc to allow me to consider it for the following purpose.

100 shares of Bitarb are sold each month 30 days in advance at a price of 1btc each. IE. If this is March, then the April shares of Bitarb.apr are available. On the first day of the month that the CD is issued for, the bot is started with all btc sold for that months CD to be used for trading. (A sellout means 100 shares at 1btc each, so 100btc to trade)

At midnight on the last day of the month, the bot is stop, and all funds in the trading account are payed out as a dividend at a rate of 98% of all funds. (2% op fee. If the bot breaks even, 100btc will be in the account. As a result, 98btc are payed out to 100 shares with 2btc to both Smeckles and myself.)

The bot is based on an Oscillation Price Retracement Trading Bot that was publicly sold, with many new features and our personal choice of patchs and algorithmic trading functions with many more to come in the coming days....

In the VERY near future we will have instant stats on the fund available to shareholders (This is already done, its just a hosting issue right now, and will most likely be up before the Bitarb.apr fund stations).

This fund is a test. With only 100btc to trade, we can see if this type of offering on the GLBSE is possible, and if so, we will offer be offering not larger, but multiple funds in a variety of fund sizes and options presented to ONLY fund holders via the motion aspect of GLBSE.

Currently, of the IPO that was NOT to be traded until 3/7/2012, there are 53 share remaining. Once they sell out, there will be no new shares offered until 4/1/2012 with the Bitarb.may fund.

Thats the basis of it. I will take any questions publicly. Ask away.

To the note on it not being arbitrage. The current bot is not and yes is a day trader. The software we have does do arbitrage, but requires a multi-exchange interface. The second exchange is Bitcoinca, but due to their use of interest and then the mater that IBB could not be involved, made us have to pull that part of the software while we incorporate use of the CryptoXchange api and also discuss with the shareholders of the Bitarb.apr and Bitarb.may funds as the course of starting fund placement and currency footing, as well as potential new exchanges to add.

Is this a corporation or is this done as a personal endeavor?  If you're doing this personally or as the same corporation that has already defaulted on its numerous and sizable loans, "Investors" should understand that, were this ever to see attorneys, they would receive any payouts (if any) _after_ your existing debts are settled.

This is basically a hedge fund. I think it is an interesting idea to do this with bitcoins and hope you will consider trading on Bitfloor as one of your exchanges :)

Also, if you post returns (either on a weekly or monthly basis) you will attract more investors (assuming the returns are good). Obviously with any such trading there is a risk for loss and you should also make that clear, just to avoid any miscommunication issues later.

Ok, so lets look at this. 40+% of the shares are bought by people who are tied into SDM at this point. Total cost for me to set this up <1btc. As stated before, there is no promise of return here. You buy a share for 1 btc, if the bot makes btc in its runtime, you get your 1/100th -2% fee no mater what the value is.

Examples

Bot makes 15% in the period and all 100 shares sold, the finial balance is (115btc -2%)/100 paid as dividend.

Bot losses 5% in the period, then finial balance is (95btc - 2%)/100.

This corp is not part of SDM.
My portion of any profit goes into the SDM dispersal fund.
And considering only 100btc can be invested MAX (thats a combined, not per person) the potential losses are limited. The contract will be followed exactly as written so there is also no way for this to become an legal matter anyways.

The stats on the bots current balance and performance can be accessed by shareholders during the run. We are finishing up the finial touches on our web integration right now.

Also. Can I get some more info on Bitfloor? I still dont know them well enough to make a choice on that exchange.

Capping at 100 BTC sounds fine, but is it possible that the bot could gain better returns with a fatter wallet?

I am the founder of Bitfloor so obviously a little biased but here are some highlights:
- our APIs are fast and well documented
- we have rebates for liquidity providers and low fees for liquidity takers
- fast matching engine
- self-trade protection

If you would like to contact me directly, feel free to shoot me a PM or email support and I can give you some more information about the trading platform Bitfloor provides.

I do not know. Not because I am clueless, but because never went that far.
Here is what I do know.

15% of 1btc gain brings us to 1.15btc
15% of 100btc gain brings us to 115.00btc
In theory, a 15% of 1000btc gain would be 1150btc, but the reason I dont want to raise the 100btc cap is I dont think the available trading volume can support that in a safe manor.

Also like I stated before, if this does start taking losses due to the market, it wont hurt so as if someone could buy 200+ shares at once and have it tank.

15 shares are left remaining for purchase.
I got a pm asking if we would fire this thing up earlier and the answer to that is, No.

The contract states that the fund will start on April 1st, 2012 and that is when we will start it. However, you can go ahead and trade your shares around on the GLBSE and even make some bitchange before the contract begins.

Everyone who says this is not arbitrage is of course 100% correct. It is just shakaru throwing around a fancy word he has heard somewhere to get people to invest. As the previous poster said there is huge risk, but the biggest risk is actually that shakaru just takes your money and says the bot lost it. Everyone who is considering this investment needs to read this thread about how shakaru stole $20 000 from the community:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=65989.80

If anyone still believes he will be able to make you money and wants to bet, please PM me. In contrast to shakaru all my deals here have been without any roblems.

Free share for help with project.

So simple project, great payment. 1 share (valued at 1btc) for someone who can point me to an automated ftp upload solution for WinServer2k3. Basically, I need a program or script that will upload one simple html file every 2.5-5min to an ftp.

To get your share, you need to have an GLBSE account, so if you take the job, set one up. If you need help with that, contact senbonzakura of the IBB who would be happy to help with account setup.

IBB provides 0% interest short-term btc loans, project start-up loans, as well as provides a great service to the Bitcoin community.

can't you just use windows FTP with a script of commands; then use windows task scheduler / schtasks / at command line.
Code:
schtasks /create /sc  minute /mo <time> /tn "FTP Upload" /tr "drive:\path\to\ftpupload.bat"

path must be fully qualified.

edit. oops missed this - time should be 2 or 5, I couldn't find whether you can subdivide down to seconds ie. 2.5 instead you could use a tool that sleeps for 30 seconds.

schtasks on w2k3 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772785(v=ws.10).aspx

create a batch file for executing the ftp program with a script and a script file with the commands you want,

ftpupload.bat
Code:
cd \dir\that\contains\file\to\upload
ftp -s ftpscript

ftpscript contains the following lines
Code:
o <ftp.sitename.here>
cd </dir/to/change/to>
bin
put <filetoupload>
quit

you may need to switch to PASV mode for some servers, after the 'o <sitename>' the following line will need 'quote PASV'.

Sorry, i should have made things a bit more clear.

I need someone to make that bat, and set it up so that I plug in my credentials, and the file name and run. Im a bit lost in ive written batch files before, but on this vps, its not executing anything correctly. Cant even get a @echo off with out an "invalid character...."
thus the free share. Just want an plug and play solution.

where are you uploading a file from and to, and how much control do you have over either of the machines not being compromised? my script was assuming it would be run from your local control, not on a machine in the wild. It is a big risk exposing an ftp upload site without encrypted username/passwords. It would be filled with junk in seconds. Does it have to be ftp?

it would be much safer to use sftp, or an encrypted upload session using a commandline WebDAV tool (what webserver is the server that you are uploading to running?)

However from a command line, cut and paste everything in the code, change everything that is in brackets.

make a directory,
Code:
md "c:\ftpupload"

change to it
Code:
cd "c:\ftpupload"

type
Code:
notepad c:\ftpupload\ftpupload.bat

cut and paste the following into notepad, click "yes" to create a new file.
assuming the html file to upload is in the c:\ftpupload directory
Code:
cd "C:\ftpupload"
ftp -s ftpscript

close it, click to save.

type
Code:
notepad c:\ftpupload\ftpscript

cut and paste the following into notepad, click "yes" to create a new file.
Change everything within the brackets. (I missed the username/password first time).
/dir/to/change/to is the directory you need to change to on the remote server. (you may not need this if
Code:
o <ftp.sitename.here>
user <username>
pass <password>
cd </dir/to/change/to>
bin
put <filetoupload.html>
quit

close it, click to save

copy and paste the following into the command line, hit enter.
Code:
schtasks /create /sc minute /mo 5 /tn "FTP Upload" /tr "c:\ftpupload\ftpupload.bat"

there, as plug and play as I can make it for you.

Wait you said VPS - forgive me for asking an obvious question, but is it a Windows based VPS, or is it linux? Most VPSes run linux to save resources.

Not that it really matters, but...

Quote
The standard (IEEE 802) format for printing MAC-48 addresses in human-friendly form is six groups of two hexadecimal digits, separated by hyphens (-) or colons (:), in transmission order (e.g. 01-23-45-67-89-ab   or   01:23:45:67:89:ab ). This form is also commonly used for EUI-64. Another convention used by networking equipment uses three groups of four hexadecimal digits separated by dots (.) (e.g. 0123.4567.89ab ), again in transmission order[1].

Anyone want to bet if the 100BTC you guys have invested in this company is still in the account it should be in?

Some very interesting stuff starts popping up about shakaru in other threads:

How d I get a hold of you.  I have very important, sensitive info on one of the miners tht is currently scamming bitcoin members.  Not only is he taking bitcoin members money, he is also scamming his roommates and his girlfriend.  It took me a month to figure it out, but I now know, he has not fulfilled any contracts since August of 2011, except for 1 partail.  A $35 bitcoin payment.  Amount still due over $100.  He took all of the rent money from his roommates and spent it at the bar. He used my debit card fraudenly to pay for the internet service.  And he told you guys he has a setup at home to generate coins.  He does not.  He sold/gave away the equipment so he has money for the bar.  He took my daughters rent, and utiilty money for I dont know what.He is screwed.  He does not have  working computer nor a place to even work.  I need help.  He owes my daughter over $2,000 in rent, $200 IN utilitiesand he owes 2 personal friends over $300 in bit coin shares.  Can anyone say "Shades Minaco"?.

I have photo copies of the drivers license, a copy of the lease agreemeent, and him and his girlfriend if anyone is interested

Actually that would be the day after tomorrow by my clock.

Everything is good to go and I just have to fire up the software and its on. Im still trying to work on a instant type of output that is easy to read and understand, so it looks like that maybe part of the may offering depending how we do on this one. High hopes people :)

Bot is running as planed as of 00:00 pst last night. However, I still do not have access to my GLBSE account, so the May offering will be on hold until I can get Nefario to open it back up. Any major developments will be posted here.

It's probably this:
http://shadesminoco.com/bitarbapr/oprtb.html (http://shadesminoco.com/bitarbapr/oprtb.html)

I only know of this url because I was developing the bot that I believe he is using.

I say "was developing" because I am fed up with all the crap surrounding this guy. I haven't been in contact with him for some time. He's hasn't yet sent me a list of all the people who he has sold copies of the bot to, so he probably hasn't paid me anywhere near the amount that he owes me for these sales.

Here's a screenshot of the page in case the page disappears:

http://imgur.com/dxFng (http://imgur.com/dxFng)

It would have been nice to have never been involved with shakaru. :(

I think this is just a stale version of an older running time.  Basically, this was weeks ago back when the price was up into that range...if it's still trying to retrace at $5 >, then the bot isn't currently running.

Update:
Didnt get into town until midday and then had to sleep for a bit due to the flight.

So right now, the web interface dose not work as well as I would like, and because of how the bot works, its hard to deduce the current value unless the funds are nearly on one entire side of the currency (ie: all in btc, or all in usd)
ATM I am trying to move the bot to a new VPS with a higher bandwidth allocation so that it will not exhaust its self, but I do not want to shut it down unless I have to because it will affect trading with the current run. However, if the VPS restarts or goes down, I will be moving it asap.
Im going to watch the trading on this side for a while and see if an event where its all heavy on one sides comes up so I can post numbers.

How about just posting a screenshot of the mtgox account it is trading on? That way people can calculate for themselves, and this speculation that you have spent the money on drinks can stop.
If this operation is run in an honest way that would be very easy, but I somehow doubt we will ever see a screenshot.

Instead of saying right now the bot has 50BTC and $240 you post a long winded reply about some useless info...

No, what really happened was that the VPS restarted and went down. This resulted in the Mt.Gox API crashing and causing all bitcoins to be lost. 100% true story!

In other news shakaru is still a great guy and he promises to pay everyone back within the next 100 years. Shakaru will make more GLBSE offerings very soon. I recommend everyone to invest in these new offerings. As senbonzakura so wisely put it:

I find this thread amusing now.. after some people in the auction thread disagreed with me and said this fellow has no funds so there is nothing to recover...

*note* this has nothing to do with me.... it just amuses me.

I have just taken 1 hr of my life to read both threads.. And WOW just WOW more drama than a tv show.

So to sum it up shakaru bites off more than he can chew running a business the first time around, This Happens and can be understood. Plenty of people make bad investments/choices that cause losses. I was waying up the options of setting up a mining op But if I do I am damm going to make sure I have the power/Heat issues sorted before I fire up.

The only thing I cannot get my head around is where did $20k worth of hardware go. I understand that hardware failure happens and the odd rip off. But still for me it did fire up a red flag or 2

Then to start up a trading bot once again with other peoples money. I agree people deserve a second chance but with the other thread for me it was just to much risk for little reward.

Personally I am hoping for the people invested in this that there money is nice and safe in mtgox. With whatever small % of gain/loss.

But with any investment you have got to look at what's happened in the past. So I know what I personally think and hope its not the case.

That is probably the rig I was allowed to remotely log into.
I believe it had 6x 5830 cards. Value maybe $1000?
Looking at this setup it becomes even more hilarious that shakaru tried to blame me for the rig "catching fire and blowing up".

Also great to see shakaru finally received the SCAMMER tag. Too bad it didn't happen two months ago when it should have, so this situation could have been avoided.

Ok, so lets look at this. 40+% of the shares are bought by people who are tied into SDM at this point.

Haha, if this is true, those people really deserved to lose their money in this. Actually they should probably even have to pay a tax for being stupid.

There is a very easy way to obscure real interest in a company due to the anonymous nature of buyers.

I could start a listing and buy into my listing with multiple anonymous accounts thus making it look like there is huge interest in my company, right now I would assume that is what shakaru is doing since I find it absolutely impossible to believe so many retards still exist.

Taking orders for debt collection, already have Andrew under the eye of my boys..

PM me if you would like your debts answered for.

No pussy footing around, this is how we do it.

Its a matter of principle now for me.

This little man has disrespected the wrong guy. :)

Andrew, here is your tip, and proof to take me seriously.

Those boys in black, and that lone sport bike riding with them..

Ya, thats my cousin, and his friends.

I saved their ass once, they are eternally indebted to me, and its time for my yearly 'family visit'

See you soon! :)

Shakaru finally gets what he deserves, only thing is I highly doubt he has any money at all.

Well it would seem that any funds he has for the near future are going to be tied up with medical costs.

Also I think this is the first case of bitcoin justice..if you can call it that (whats a more correct word).

Nothing I havent done before to low lifes, I spent most of my 20's giving out "Life lessons"

I just have been making a respectable life for myself the last decade. This will be a fun old school throwback.

There is tons of things to do to broke disrespecting little shits as himself.

The first of which, is easy, he's going to be homeless soon.
I really hope he realizes what this means, this will not harm a single other person, and is very specific and deliberate few actions with the leaseholders, and or people supplying the roof.

This is the easiest, most effective means to teach him a lesson.
Some people are not worth the trouble of supplying a roof too, its very simple.

There is about a dozen different ways I can do this, most of which I can actually do from here, but in this case, I have to take a trip down there anyways to show some respect for other reasons, and I'll make a play date with a few of my boys, and get to show them a few tricks of the trade.  They are looking forward to learning the finer aspects of debt collection. Im looking forward to a little old school fun.

I have been civil and courteous with him, and simply, all I did was try to help him out, as someone in need.

People like this eventually run into a person like me. Usually only once, as thats all it takes for life lesson.

I have the skills, the friends, the means, the money, and the time. :)

And thank you to the many people offering IP's and addresses, they all have confirmed what I already knew on his whereabouts.

mental note - don't piss off teflone :D

shakaru owes me a bunch of btc if you end up actually collecting anything..  i kinda wanted to help the guy too so I bought his old payb.tc debt which is fairly huge..  i was going to offer him a "rebate" on it if he ever paid down the entire SDM mess..  seems now instead of working with me / us he is just going the awol route.. until teflone comes along with men on the ground in cali that is? :P

For way to long bitcoins seem to attract people like shakaru who believe if they fuckup/steal they can simply shrug it off and logout.

Also just watching because shakaru is getting away with this like a boss it seems and nobody can do anything.

Expecting Raize to pay Shakaru's debts? lol

Not really. I am expecting teflone to get filed at for harassment. Guy is a total douche it seems. Making threats are nothing but showing up at the guy's door with some bikers and beating him up is.

Also just watching because shakaru is getting away with this like a boss it seems and nobody can do anything.

BTC needs legal recognition and fast.

Worried someone like me will take care of your scams too are we?

So far you have been all talk no walk.

I doubt you will do anything at all.

We all know MAFIA is illegal ;)

Shakaru owns 4000 BTC in total, is that right ? $20 000 ?

nice

what about bitarb. May ? we do this without GLBSE ?

Nope. In fact, all projects stated for the GLBSE or on this forum are now moved elsewhere.

And as far as me hitting the road. Nope, still here.

Senbonzakura, did the May offering produce anything?

yes, everyone got their dividends , he didn't run away with the btc

They, and even you, may have got their dividends, but the percentage of his profit did not go into the re-payment fund as promised, and apparently he sold the bot, (for smickles), and surly must have made a profit from the sale, whether as owner or manager, and those proceeds did not go into the fund either.

Question:  Are you Shakaru/Andrew, which is why you have a positive response for everything he does?

Or:  You are in cahoots somehow and have profited from his scams?

I am really curious.  You always have a positive answer about Andrew, and you are very defensive.  You must be hiding things from the community.  After all, you are the only person still defending Drew.

Maged?  Maybe we should wonder why "senbonzakura" has such a positive interest in Shakaru and what exactly they are doing offline that is affecting this community?"

I'll respond with a quote:
Totally agree with teflone and Clipse. The rest of you need to open your eyes here. The reason why shakaru was able to steal as much in the first place was that everyone was saying what a good guy he was, he had just been unlucky, he would pay back etc. Meanwhile every story from shakaru became more and more unbelievable.

I have PMs from several people begging me to stop calling him a scammer, because they were afraid they would get nothing if the truth came out. No one seemed to care that the longer this went on the more people he would be able to scam.

This is just the "Shakaru effect", nothing more. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Yeah. Although the effect has most certainly weakened, it is very clearly still there. It's hard for you to understand it since you're fairly new to this community, but Shakaru's name was held in the highest respects for quite a long time. You're there and know Shakaru in person, so you feel the betrayal directly, but for many of the people here, the internet has insulated them from Shakaru so much that those old feelings haven't completely gone away, yet.

freeway

you asked a question, and i answered you , i stated some facts, he didnt run away with the btc for bitarb.apr , i got my money back, in fact he sent all the btc to nefario (of glbse) and then dividends where paid

profits were small , his 2% probably amount to no more than 2 BTC

"You are in cahoots somehow and have profited from his scams? "

as for the above, how dare you !!

bring proof first then accuse me, here i am helping you answering questions and you turn on me

no good deed goes unpunished

I'm sorry I have offended you.  I began asking questions again because of this interaction with lolwut.  It appears the bot did make profits, although quite small, and it was sold for the sum of $400.  Was there a contribution to the fund from this sale or no?  I am honestly happy you received your money back. It just baffles me how you still seem to support him.

It may have been a snowball effect from an honest mistake on Andrew's part, but my family as well as many people here were substantially damaged financially.  I have a zen mind about things but to continue to believe in someone that has proven time and again they are un-trustworthy is beyond me.

hes on skype all the time. just hiding from his shame, im sure.

I've been debating selling the trading bot he and smickles sold me and donating the btc to the guys that he fucked over.

Is that the bot from this venture?  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67352.msg940801#msg940801

If so, how much did you buy it for?  Andrew should have paid those proceeds into the fund. Another theft?  :-\

I don't think it was from that thread, but i paid $400 for it.

Hmm...If it was bought recently, I am sure it is.  At any rate, you would not be at fault in any way.  I am just adding to my mental list of Andrew's many lies and thefts.  Someday karma will catch up to him and I am sure it will be un-pleasant.

Thanks for the quick reply

I was actually inquiring about May because Andrew had stated he moved the bot and things were continuing.  I thought you were referring to May, not April, in your 1st response to me.  This is when I learned the bot was sold and the money given to Shakaru and Smickles.  So, there should have been some type of deposit to the fund from the sale, should there not?

Senbonzakura, again I am really to accuse you.  I have just become very jaded about the whole Shakaru issue and any potential supporters because of my personal experience with him and his family.  You are a better person than I ATM.

Thanks for the advice.  I shall do both.
