I put all wrong answers on purpose... But it's ridiculous to assume that these free tests are realistic or conclusive at all.

I have a feeling this site intends on selling demographic data.

By applying my allegedly enormous intellect, I can deduce... that this test is perhaps not as accurate as it claims to be. ::)

This. Most of these online tests aren't accurate at all. They're mostly just for fun.

As usual my prejudices about IQ tests are completely justified :P

http://www.free-iqtest.net/images/badges2/l80.gif

Not just saying that because I got a low score, the majority of questions I got revolved around maths, so of course I'm going to get them wrong, as for the silly anagram bollocks there were so many options you could have picked with them that I couldn't be bothered and just guessed.

No IQ test I have ever seen is truly representative of somebodies intelligence nor is any other fucking test in the national curriculum around the world, partly because you'll find that questions in school tests are either poorly worded or just outright wrong.

80% of people have IQs between 80 and 120.

I believe you qualify to apply for Mensa if you have an IQ above 130.  Slow is 70 or below.

bluefirecorp, with your IQ of 160 you are smarter than 99.997% of the population.  :)

I hate to put this out here but I'm not some dumb ass, my IQ is over 150 and I intend on becoming a very wealthy man in the next decade of my life and stopping at nothing.  Feel free to join me or be left behind.

You moving in the right direction donkey? Aren't you squatting in an abandoned house waiting for your iPhone battery to die?

Yeah, almost no one in the real world cares if you're a member of mensa. It's like being a member of the PEN15 club.

Yep, organisations like MENSA are pretty much all about comparing penis size.

hurr durr my IQ is bigger than yours.

yeah my score is only 128.. and i'm being honest. im already assuming that these numbers are inflated, because if you were at 100, you'd be considered a failure.. they have to soften up your ego some  :D but yeah, the math related questions were not really that much math, but just pattern recognition.

every time i've seen an online "IQ" test, there are plenty of people in the 130+ range.. and 100 is supposed to be the mean. so imo that's bullshit.

Since when is 'average' a failure? If everyone is above average, there's no point in a ranking system that uses 100 as the baseline.

Also, everyone know IQ = penis size.

i know that.. but most people probably don't want to find out that they are just at the mean average.. probably because like you say, it's all about the penis size. i dont care too much about IQ tests anyways.. you can study and get a better score, so it's not necessarily checking how strong your motor is, but also how educated you are.

edit: most people i know who have taken these tests report a score of 120+.. and yet here is the % distribution of IQ scores.

That can also be wrong though as well because how do you define 'educated' even in modern education we have an immediate bias in our systems towards a ruling government, they like to sneak in politically leaned answers to prevent people who disagree with them from passing and it's only if you're clever enough to spot what they're doing that you'll be able to pass which means you have to be really clever.

My all time favourite is an example from a driving theory test I had to pass in order to get a license which you need by law here and you also need to get bloody insurance by law and I remember it pretty clearly, oh wait! I just remembered I could search for the exact one!

http://www.taketheorytest.co.uk/learn/1822/question/

The 'correct' answer:
Quote
Trams are powered by electricity and therefore do not emit exhaust fumes. They are also much quieter than petrol or diesel engined vehicles and can carry a large number of passengers.
- So according to this it's electricity.

The actual answer: Trams are not environmentally friendly at all because they use fossil fuels from a power station so they are just as environmentally damaging as any other fossil fuelled transportation.

And yes, this is actually a real fucking question on a driving test, the people who designed these tests are morons.

all online test are bs. they may estamate some what, but they estamate very poorly. There is no point in taking a online test it will make you think you are more intellegent then you are.

way too easy indeed,

I have an IQ of about 140 (tested on multiple more accurate tests), but this test is just ridiculously easy

This test claim i have 189

LOL! That's hilarious.  As a genius, you'd think he would be running a company by now, or at least, have rent money. As for that iPhone battery, I hear he charges it by holding on to the battery while staring into the sun.

All of these IQ tests are a crock. I've done a couple in the past and can tell they were full of b.s.

I'd give this one a try but it's red flagging my virus protection.

Yep, IQ is only half of what it takes to succeed.  EQ is the other half.  In fact, I'd go as far to say that EQ is even more important.

1 -IQ alone is almost useless to any practical purposes, let it be a genius, get money, or have a brilliant career in wherever field you like. There are things more important than that: self-discipline, creativity, how well you perceive the reality, how well can you structure you knowledge, personal relationships, etc.

2 - There are several metrics to measure IQ, no hint what this site uses.

3 - Some questions involve more previous study in math than intelligence, for example, one about the Fibonacci series

4 - Some questions are far easier for English native speakers

That being said:

EDIT: seems I made all right when I review the questions, does time counts too?
