The hashra is much quieter than an S1 with its fan at full speed and I'd say it's quieter than an S2. The fans are 140mm I think so it's not a high pitched noise.

You'll need to use an ethernet cable to attach the raspberry pi to your router. Use an ip scanner utility to find the address and login to the miner to set up your pools. It's pretty easy.
