We are looking for a forum that is more geared towards developing, working on and using bitcoin gambling sites, instead of just promotion of the site. Does this exist?

Will be tough to promote but would be an interesting project as the gambling section here is such a side note. Are you a developer? What would you need from their side?

Well it would be nice to have some partners in this, to split cost, promotion and decisions. The promotion wouldn't be tough a lot of us have a decent platform to advertise this forum. The development part isn't hard at all, we could use an off the shelf forum software.

I still need to read this thread but I would like in on the project too, I think we could do a lot of good with it. Ideas are flowing like crazy right now but I better read the thread before I make myself look like to big of an idiot :)

I agree. Project would be a lot easier with more minds working on it. You mean doing promoting as a topic, use through signatures or another strategy? Have you done any sort of cost estimate?

Do you own a dice site? I think that would be the best partners. This is mostly an idea, maybe we can all get on IRC or something?




No, the promotion be more like link exchanges, I know I would put a banner on my site for free to promote. If enough big sites join and do this then promotion could be free.

VPS would be around ~$100/ month, this would also depend on the traffic we get.

Let's talk about a goal/mission statement first.

The goal would be to create a positive community for gambling games to learn about different technical details, users to discuss different gambling sites, and even host support boards for some of the larger dice games (Only if the operators want that).

I think we could also take in donations and ad revenue so the site wouldn't have to rely only on the people that are running it to keep it a float.

sounds like an interesting idea.  would be tough to maintain 2 different communities tho, since a lot of sites use BTCT as their goto forum.

Well that is why I am asking for other people to help it will be tough, but BTCT has just become one big promotion thread, no discussions or sense of community.

What do you need exactly from a gambling site partner? What do you expect from your partners?

Promotion and just having other sites to help keep it a community run place, and not just one site's views and ideas.

This site is hardly to promote gambling any more if you create a new site and do some advertise drag some traffic
