Title: On my journey to earn [btc] Newbie
Post by: RedGummyBear on July 05, 2014, 01:19:49 AM
I have been a fan of BTC for over two months and have been Dabbling in all sorts of things regarding BTC. It caught my interest after reading about it on yahoo.

I thought i stumbled on a flaw in the Bitcoin chain about double spending and posted here only to realize my wallet was not synched and it didn't show my purchase. I'm an idiot.

So anyways I'm working my way to earn my first 1 BTC and it will be challenging but even more so full of fun. Hell it wouldn't be fun if it were not a challenge right?  after working my way up to .075 BTC I seen some pretty Physical dogecoins that i had to buy and now i'm back down to just a little over .01 LMAO (couldn't resist) Hope to get them in like 2 weeks from Spain.

so my journey begins with mining and hitting faucets until i get the 1 BTC. I thought this would be cool to track my progress and post it too. So much fun i'm having and love it here. Wish me luck!

Thank you to the forum and thanks for reading my BORING post.

LOL love you guys and will keep you updated  :-*

What are you mining on? It's not profitable to mine on PCs anymore, and even ASICs can be hard to break even with, given power costs, failures, scam ASIC companies...

Faucets are also not likely to help you reach 1 BTC. Instead, look to apply any skills you may have such as writing, graphic design, coding, or dealing with tech problems, to earn bitcoin.

That is a LOT of faucet time.  Unless you happen to be high up on some referral system, i see this taking a LONG LONG time.  I would highly suggest mining/buying.

If you have some skills, then create a thread on service section or other marketplace to offer it.

But IMO, the easiest way to earn bitcoin is through joining a signature campaign.
I've earn hundreds of dollars from it. So be active and contributive in this forum, gain higher rank and join it!

Have a look at bitcoinget.com. You can earn bitcoins for doing small online tasks and watching videos. Won't replace your day job, but surely a better use of your time than faucets.

3 best ways of getting Bitcoin:

-Sell stuff in the marketplace section for BTC - you will need an escrow if you're new
-Do your regular job and buy BTC with any spare $ you have
-If you have a job where you can sell your services like web designer or programmer - you can do side jobs for BTC again in the marketplace or services section.

Once you figured out how to get your first transaction with a faucet, don't waste your time on it.

Reality? Its really bad plan. You will earn like up to 1$ a day, so you will work for 1 BTC for over 2 years (!)
You can go to part time job and you will earn 1 BTC in 3-6 months

Not gonna happen within a foreseeable future, rather try PTC / earn sites if you're not gonna mine / get a sig campaign.

Say you earn 0.0000100 B per captcha. Then it would only be 100.000 captchas to type  :) yes. it's not the best way

Welcome to bitcointalk.
You could earn bitcoin by selling goods and services much faster, and IMO it is so much better than using faucets.

It will not be easy and might take a very long time but that's the fun part. I'm ambitious lol.  Have to stay away from the goods section though lol

Mostly it's about advertising. You can try putting ads on signature space https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Or write a blog/media about cryptocurrency, some business and altcoin dev usually gives a bounty for an article. Like this one CryptocoinEra: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=677249.msg7688825#msg7688825
Kryptcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=606809.msg7153323#msg7153323

Glad to hear you are not hitting faucets all day for little.  Signature campaign is going to pay more in most cases.  Might hang out on the forums a bit once your activity level goes up it will pay better.

You mean miners? well i have a cube and had some Antminer USBS but i'm sure those two USBS died on me. lmao i'm going to look into buying cloud miners.  I'm also mining other coins using my Computer but i'm still trying to read about x11 mining on google. No good information though.
