Title: Internet Based News Cycle
Post by: Bitcoin-hotep on July 06, 2014, 12:10:08 AM
No one has investigative reporters any more. All News is Internet based, and now a days all news is Twitter based.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey-ebMbWO2Y

And have you seen Shep talk about the Fox News Deck?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGWILXj33sA

TYT is the same
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU_2fp2uaGs

So...
My thought is... Why don't we push news? American Politicians talks about how "Marijuana is an experiment in Colorado and Washington" and that is only if they are not vehemently against it. And everyone basically feels the same way about bitcoin, but no one really talks about it.

But now that the internet is here, there is not really such thing as a "Investigative Journalist" any more. It's all just news feeds and trickle down, with different stations stealing each others stories and turning them around.

Everyone, find your old stories about how Marijuana cures cancer and Alzheimers, and about how Bitcoin is here for everyone, and share them with these people.

Also,
Suggest authors for them to interview. They are always looking for new authors.

And Youtube videos, they like to bring people on TV from Youtube.

That's probably a good idea. I would add to the list the guys from The Real News Network (https://twitter.com/therealnews (https://twitter.com/therealnews)) and Democracy Now (https://twitter.com/democracynow (https://twitter.com/democracynow)).

Foreign news is always a good source for non-local citizen. Same for China and Russia. If Chinese and Russian want to know what their government are doing, using foreign news (not local) is the only viable method.

I know CNN and FOX are international, and TYT is just on YouTube so anyone can watch it.
Do you know of any international news channels we can tweet. I know of Al Gezeera

Al Gezeera America

Al Gezeera English

Oh, I mostly agree with you there; I personally try to check the news from several sources, and the bias of each becomes quite obvious at times.

But much of the independent media, particularly those that don't receive government or corporate funding, often do a decent job. I mean, they always have their point of view, and none of them will report the facts without putting them into context, which will show their own bias; but I still think his idea has merit.

I hope they all get enough tweets to do something. They are JUST like regular people, when their twitter feeds blow up, they get interested in whatever it blew up about.

We can get the news people to talk about whatever we want if enough of us send stuff in.

Everyone should tweet @FoxNews and tell them to have @KirstenPowers on their shows more, so they can have some better open discussions instead of circle jerking.

Al Gezeera America
https://twitter.com/ajam

Al Gezeera English
https://twitter.com/AJEnglish

I second this.

Despite their shaky beginnings, Al Jazeera is now a world class new organization on par with the big  corporate networks who seem to be so hamstrung in reporting these days.

I welcome them to the American arena of information wars.

LOFL Joe Rogan said "I bet they would have killed Alex Jones in the 60s" and that is a huge joke in the 60s Alex Jones was just Governor Wallace. "ARM YOURSELF AGAINST THE BLACK MAN" it's not a new or fringe of a thought, it's just old white paranoia.

Tweet this at all the FOX news shows, and ask them why Libertarians want to strengthen borders they don't believe in.
