These are hefty silver coins with 0.453 troy ounces of precious metal.

Interesting... How do British Coins end up being a spoil of war?  Were they taken on the continent by some invading force?  Or from an overseas colony? (I see that claim as been erased.)

I am looking these up to consider an offer, and I see that the 1937 Great Britain Silver Half Crown is not " 0.453 troy ounces of precious metal".  Its 0.45 oz of .500 metal for an ASW of .23 oz.

This info posted is from an online source. I am going to take some more time later today to post what info I can on these coins aswell as upload some pictures of the actual coins. As I know condition affects the value, greatly. I hope to sell these coins to a collector, as I dont wish to sell them at scrap prices, as I feel theyre worth more than scrap in their current conditions, and with the history of these coins.

Give me a few hours, to dig up some more accurate info, aswell as post pictures. Thanks for taking the time to check this thread out. I have other non silver coins I would be interested in selling in lots.
