I like monopoly a lot.
When I was kid I played that a lot with my friends and family.
When I think more, it will be cool to play that game more again :)
Best thing is that game can last for a few hours, so if you have free time, it will be perfect :)

Best board game is what you want to be. Me personally like risk, capitalism and monopoly.

When i was younger me and younger brother play lot of chess but now with families playing more games above mainly risk and monopoly.

Amen to that.  I still remember want to play with my dad so many times until I realized he was constantly beating me by doing the math in his head vs a 4 year old.  I was OK with it as long as I got to be the car.

Monopoly still one of the best board game out there.

Risk is pretty good, but i like other also (Sons of sahara, monopoly, hotel - very old game). I'd pick Risk as the best of them. I love strategy overall.

Monopoly cards is my favourite, it is new and is totaly different play style from monopoly.

I think Monopoly this game is the best of the best. Suitable for any family to have fun during free time. Suitable for any ages. Once you play it, you will want to play it over and over again!

Considering you have a net connection, how do you have no other choice but chess? There are tons of sites with games of all kinds (including other popular board games). :P

Maybe his cellmates are really pushy and makes him play chess even against his will. But you dont need to play chess exclusively - after all with the same board and same pieces you can play for example: Checkers.

There are other games, buddy! Hell, who forces you to play chess? Are you under the thumb of some weird aristocrat who pushes you around? Please elaborate!

My Fav one is Chess but there are others which I also love playing such as, Monopoly, Scrabble, Carrom.

People still play boardgames?

I mean, I like Monopoly but haven't played it in literally years.

We come together like 1 time a month to play boardgames, mostly games from 999 games (http://www.999games.nl dutch site)

The world of warcraft boardgame is also nice, but you need at least + 6 hours for it  :)

Chess is my favorite, I've been playing it since when I was young, against my father.

probably chess would be #1 for me

I also love LUDO and another game Snakes and Ladder.

Lovely timepass game, played all whole my life.

I also like chess I was taught by my father when I was very young.

Of course Risk, the father of all strategy games.
