man why do asians insist on having swimsuit models at all these tech conventions. i find it funny because it has nothing to do with girls looking sexy, plus all these nerdy guys standing around checking out how chicks is nice.

Because all the tech stuff is made in China/Taiwan.  Look at all the girls in the low-rider magazines, probably not Asian :P

The companies hire the girls to be eye candy for the 18-34 male crowd - works every time.

To be honest, I probably won't buy their stuff because of that, but it does get my attention :D

comic con, blizzcon, and whatever other nerdfest there is.. they all use hot girls and sex appeal too. i guess we do that here in the U.S. as well.

the fact that there are commercials of girls in their bikinis showing you how to assemble your computer.. means that those advertising dollars do work in getting guys to buy shit because it's presented by hot chicks. i don't get it one bit though.. why do guys even like that shit? especially when you can cut straight to the chase with porn. why look at a chick holding a laptop when it's only going to give you blue balls?

The fact that he doesn't get it means he's not a girl.  A girl knows when she can tease a guy and keep him coming back for more.  1/2 clothed women in a social setting actually makes the men more nuts than naked women in the bedroom (well, naked women on TV that you can't touch).
