I walked a total of 5 miles near Moscone Center in San Francisco the last two days. I saw half a dozen signs on the street and in shop windows to the effect: "Pay with your phone via PayPal". One even said, "no cash or credit cards accepted. We only take PayPal". But no bitcoin signs. I watched a ball game in a cozy well run sports bar near 2nd and Howard. The bartender had never heard of bitcoin. PS: Just checked the scores on www.sportsline.com. The broswer ad was for "paying digitally with Paypal". Not super pleased with it from a bitcoiner perspective. But it may actually warm people up to the idea of making mobile payments all the time.... bitcoin's only a step away. :)

But it may actually warm people up to the idea of making mobile payments all the time.... bitcoin's only a step away. :) That is exactly why paypal integration of bit coin would be a big deal. I am no fan of paypal and would never use them, but integrating bit coin puts a large segment of people one step away from bit coin.
