Title: Acacia Trading Bot - Free Beta Now Available
Post by: AcaciaTrading on July 12, 2014, 08:39:22 PM
Hey guys! We are excited to announce that today we are releasing the public beta of our crypto-currency trading bot!

We’ve spent the last few months working on our product and we feel that it is ready to open to the public for testing.

A little bit about us:
We are a new startup aiming to create a simple, easy to use, and reasonably priced trading bot.

What we offer:
Simplicity - We aim make the Acacia Trading Bot as simple and easy to use as possible.

A wealth of features - We support every trading pair on the btc-e exchange, and plan to expand to all major exchanges. We offer 4 types of moving averages (simple, weighted, exponential, and triangular) and 4 common indicators which you can use in your trading strategy.

Our bot is cloud based, meaning that we run everything from our servers. As a result, you don’t need to keep a program running on your computer and you can easily manage your bot from anywhere.

iOS and Android Support - We are nearly finished with native apps for the iOS and Android that will allow you to easily monitor the bot and change settings from your phone.

Although we are still in development, we have extensively tested this bot ourselves.

Please feel free to send us any feedback and ask any questions that you have!

Hi AcaciaTrading,

I've downloaded the bot and managed to get it running inside Chrome.

There aren't any template strategies listed. Is this intentional that we have to create our own from scratch? There is an error message in the program (below) so I was wondering whether templates were missing due to the error.

Please let me know.

Code:
"Success":"0","ErrorCode":6,"Error":"Failed to fetch settings"}

In our FAQ (linked below), we suggest a 10/21 EMA with 0.25 Buy/Sell thresholds as one possible strategy.  I believe the bug you are concerned about has been fixed - let me know if you are still having any issues.

Thanks!

Hey,

Thanks for your reply.

I can confirm I'm still experiencing the error. I removed and reinstalled the extension to make sure I had a fresh version.

I've attached three screenshots:
1) the main Acacia screen showing the error message
2) the JSON string of the error message printed in the extension flyout
3) the function I tracked down that is returning the error

I hope this helps you to find and fix the error.

Hi,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.  I looked through the database and noticed a problem with your account in particular.  I think I have resolved the issue - would you mind trying to load your settings again?

Thanks!

Sorry for the late response!  At the moment, we support every trading pair on the BTC-e exchange and plan to eventually support all major exchanges and crypto markets.
