Anyone else having big problems with their servers lately?

That's with my miners that have been on constantly with no change to the hardware or disconnections/power offs...

Yes I noticed some pool-x downtime today too. I've shifted to litecoin.miningpool.com until pool-x get back to speed. I wish minerd had a backup pool option!

Apparently all litecoin pools are being DDoS'd right now, including p2pool nodes:

yea iam sorry for late reply here, everything is back to normal now there wasnt much i could do about i was battleing it allday when i found the fix yesterday i was way to tired to start on mergeing it ive dont have much experience with that either

during my sleep coblee comited fixes to litecoind and i updated when i woke everything is back to normal now


News:
13:45 16-03-2012; update on the past 24hrs of problems, litecoin network been under spam attack wasnt much i could do about until now iam truely sorry and was pain in the ass going to bed/sleeping knowing it wasnt ok here,
woke to happy news that coblee had patched litecoind so i updated here right away, seems to have solved issues for now, again sorry for the downtime

That's actually pretty easy to implement using a wrapper script. Here's a very basic example:

This is just a very simple example that makes the miner fail over to a different pool if the current one fails a given number of times.
Using commands such as timeout you can implement all the strategies you want. The possibilities are endless.

I'm sure there must be a way of doing that on other operating systems, too.
