Title: Mircea Popescu Questioned by the U.S.
Post by: tmbp on July 13, 2014, 09:21:18 AM
I vaguely remember one of his blog posts documenting his conversation with the U.S. representative demanding information to be release about MPEX, could anyone link me to the thread? Been googling to no avail.

It was the SEC if I recall correctly and I'm sure it's somewhere on his website/blog.

Yeah, that's interesting, I hope he hasn't been arrested. Thought it seems his website bitbet.us is still resolving bets, I'm not sure if he's still the one running it.

He got banned.

That was a temporary ban, he's no longer banned.

with all the Fud spreaders, scammers, spammers, provocators, being allowed to carry on.. and then mpex which we all know and have got use to his personality over the years..

why get banned and why coincidentally banned around the time of the SEC chit chat

I hope he hasn't been arrested.
His nick still chats in #bitcoin-assets.

Based on the conversations there it appears to me to be the same individual controlling that nick which always has controlled it, though that doesn't constitute proof of anything.

Didn't he threaten someone and that person said they would find him....some sort of bounty war on each other heads...

I just came across his Trilema website the other day, some interesting reads on there, yet the pay-for-credits system to continue reading turned me off a bit. I think I would actually prefer he used advertising for revenue like most sites. Definitely seems like a very opinionated individual though.

What user was he on here? MPOE-PR?
