Title: Rbox Fan failure Post by: spazzdla on July 17, 2014, 12:03:08 AM I bought an Rbox about 2 weeks ago and the Fan has stopped working.. :(. Will it be fine without it? It seems to not be too warm right now.

Title: Re: Rbox Fan failure Post by: -ck on July 17, 2014, 01:05:16 PM My fan failed ages ago, but it's in a cold area and seems the temperature is perfectly fine with some airflow from other sources as the cooling is generous on these devices. As byt411 said, if the temp is fine it doesn't matter, and you can read the temperature from cgminer.

I connected a fan to the second fan port on my Ant miner and sat the Rbox on top of that fan.. LMAO. I think the fan might of burnt out as it appears the power supply I bought for it (a laptop one) is 20Vdc and not 12Vdc.. It seems it just ties the input voltage to the fan with no filter.. O well. It's my toy miner ne ways, mining some Joulecoin with it :D. (I am an Electrical Technologist.. Joulecoin is a cool name :P)
