Title: S1 Miners, Chip heat and sufficent heat displacement. Post by: spazzdla on July 17, 2014, 01:13:25 PM So.. I have 4 S1 ant miners.. Ne ways long story short The one in my room the chips are at 55c.. the ones in the TV room were at 68-70c :S :S :O uh oh.. I should check more often.. ne ways the shelf they are on was pressed right against the wall..(BBBAD IDEA) I moved the shelf out from the wall 12" and check the temp an hour later.. all droped to 55c. F YA no more over heating worries.
That is my story.. give your miners lots of room to displace the heat. Title: Re: S1 Miners, Chip heat and sufficent heat displacement. If it's necessary, get some thermal paste or pads, stick them onto the chips and stick a heatsink on it. That's a bit extreme, but if needed, do it.
