Anybody got any idea?Why doesn't the organization or person reveal itself?Why doesn't he work for it anymore?

For the same reason they remained anonymous. It goes back to the cypherpunk movement starting in the 1980s. They realized that our world is run by despots that murder anyone that threatens their power.

But............it's a really GREAT thing he created.To start with,why didn't he reveal himself in the beginning??Does he even view this forum?

No doubt, yes. He is way too invested into this to not follow all of the main bitcoin portals (this and reddit).

Satoshi didn't disappear... I talk to him on a daily basis. At least 35 different days a month.

answers for the people that dont search

1. if he revealed himself he would be hounded by media and asked to do lots of talk shows and conferences etc.. invading his social and /private life

2. the theory is that he does not follow the forum or reddit. this is because the whole dorian debacle that was on the forums for a few days did not draw the real bitcoin creator out. but as soon as media started hounding dorian, the real bitcoin creator obviously felt some sympathy and wanted to free the poor guy from the press hounds.. in short many bleive he seen it on Tv not the forums.

3. with the whole liberty dollar and counterfeiting stuff going on in the 1990's and 2000's why would he openly reveal his identity when creating this new currency. it was not until later that it came to general knowledge that as long as its not called a dollar or looked like a dollar, its not illegal to make currency. but now he (the theory anyway) still remains anonymous for personal reasons of not wanting fame.

4. why do people care who he is, his white paper is clearly available, his forums posts are clearly available, there is nothing more to learn from him apart from celebrity gossip about how he lives life. he made it clear why he made it, how he made it. so there is nothing else that needs to be spelled out that cant be found with a simple search

There is no point asking it for deletion. We simply need the newbie jail to be back.

No one brings down the livelihood and industry of parasitic middlemen, stamping his name to it, and expects to get away with it still breathing oxygen. Do they?

Because Satoshi thinks it was cool. It will make him a mystery and a legend. :)

Some say he sacrificed himself in order to set mankind free from tyranny, and many books will be written in his honour. But all we know, he's called Satoshi.

I guess the simple answer would be because knowledge is power and only he knows his identity so only he has the power.  Satoshi may have a checkered past but believes in Bitcoin and didn't want to be effected by his past or maybe he enjoys his privacy..  Who knows why but I understand why you ask.  I ask myself how amazing it it the Bitcoin was launched after the 2008 financial collapse?

Satoshi is no longer one man. If you own just 1 satoshi he is in each and everyone of us.

BTW he is annonymous because he would be sieged by media 24/7 and i guess he doesen't want to see those annoying punks.

He would be in great danger if he didn't disappear.

Everyone would want to hunt him down for his bitcoin rather thanking the dude.

I would never expose myself.

 I would be scared to leave my house if people knew I invented something that can challenge fiat money.

What if you found out he it was your uncle lol.

May be he asked for loan in the lending section with a new account and Vod put him a negative trust and then he got desperate he connot join one of the signature campaigns and quit.
Really I asked the same question once and no one really knows exactly.

if truly contact is made with Satoshi this often it means he is up to date on the current situation of trends in the bitcoin world. Which is quality ''music to my ears''.

No one controls bitcoins, we dont need any leader.

Unfortunately, in all likelihood, Satoshi revealing his identity to the public would at best result in the complete destruction in at least one of the things I assume Satoshi hold's dear...his privacy!  Remember how poor old Dorian Nakamoto was hounded so badly after that Newsweek article?  Now, just imagine that to the nth power and you probably have a pretty good idea as to why he hasn't made his/her identity known to the public.  Just a hunch.

Plus, if I had just created what is undoubtedly the single most disruptive instrument to the established debt-based fiat economy (i.e. all the power-players in the world currently), I think I might be slightly scared for my life where my identity to get out.

There would be 0 probability of leading anything resembling a 'normal life' where he to reveal who he or she is.

Very simple answer. Because he (or better to say his idea) is pain in the ass of governments, national banks and generally all people manipulating world using their possessions. Bitcoin just don't fit to their plans. And what you will do when somebody ruins your plans?

I fully understand his decision to stay anonymous.

In some ways, Satoshi was very smart. It's partly because of his disappearance that bitcoin has done so well.

Then again, there are many stories. Is he dead? Is he not one person but a whole organisation? Does he exist?

Satoshi has re-appeared on Mar 2014, and made a post on the P2P Foundation with his old account.

Maybe he has lost his private keys and is disappeared because he was too much ashamed.

He is a ninja and need to stay in shadow the day will come when he strikes again :)

Because "Satoshi" works for an intelligence agency maybe, and revealing their identity was never part of the plan?   ::)

Why should he reveal his own identity now?
He doesn't need money (he has lots of bitcoin untouched).
He doesn't need fame (If he wants to get famous, he would have revealed himself long time ago).

If he reveals his identity, he would probably never enjoy a peaceful life anymore.

Lets reverse the question:

Why should he want to be visible/high profile?  What advantage does that provide him?


Its not like he can be "Bitcoin President of the World" or some such for huge political gain.  And its very unlikely that he's going to get huge endorsement deals from Nike.

i really do not  know who satoshi nakamoto, and why he makes bitcoin ...
maybe it can explain why has satoshi nakamoto disappeared ...
hopefully there are some one can explain this ...

For It's own safety, imagine if people would know satoshi nakamoto, some people might even encroach to his life because he could make them a lot of money with bitcoin and It doesn't have any laws, so no one would do anything.

He wants privacy.

If you could do shitload amount of money without revealing your true identity, wouldn't you do the same? I totally would.

I'm agree with this, for now bitcoins is running handle by many nodes, blockchain, etc. just because his not fully handle bitcoin for now.

Unlikely. A person smart enough to create bitcoin should be smart enough to make backups.
Also even if he lost his private keys, he could still log in his bitcointalk account if he wants to. But he didn't and simply disappeared.

Satoshi will be back when we need it, just like Batman.
