Title: Bitcoin Recovery date
Post by: GigaCoin on July 18, 2014, 11:54:07 AM
Personally i think we will see Bitcoin recover, as in $1000+ in 2015. Yes, we all thought 2014 is the year of the bitcoin but lets face it MtGox and the Chinese killed that idea.

We are now at a stage where infrastructure and startups are forming around Bitcoin and creating ways for more Bitcoin adoption. Also in this phase there will be a lot of cleansing of AltCoins as we have seen, some coins lost 90% of their value from ATH and stuck there some completely dead. Current climate is also a good time to test future prospects of certain promising coins such as DarkCoin.

share your opinions as to when you think we'd see a recovery.

i think you can't rule out 2014 in july for one...years half over. DRK is still not accepted by anyone anywhere, so that doesn't look as promising to me as it does to you i suppose...i still think theres a good chance that well see a further rise from bitcoin this year, we do have 5 months left. and in two months well have regulation in new york, the GABI hedge fund will be in full effect, and who knows what other big players are moving in the shadows. i still see 1000+ by years end.

While i agree with you on the long road ahead to new ATH, i wouldnt waste my time in alts.
I know some of them seam to have nice features, but know that those features wont make it blossom in price aswell.
Coins depend on the trust from their investors, and bitcoin , with all the support he has, is strugling to remain in the 600-ish domain..

The next time bitcoin rises by 50% in a day, I'm calling it Bitcoin Sunday, or Monday, or whatever day it was.
That way I'll have an excuse to eat pizza on every anniversary of the event.

8 billion is not a large market cap at all for something like bitcoin.

$8 Billion isn't big. You know what's big? $8 Trillion.

Global remittances alone were $514 billion in 2012 according to the World Bank.

What else do you think Bitcoin could be used for?

Did you think in July last year that we will grow x12 from there in just three months? No, nobody did. So please, put on your happy face and prepare to be surprised.

As for dates, the latest we will break $1000 is this October 2014. Earliest theoretically possible? Tomorrow. So I think it's somewhere inbetween, mid-August maybe.

I would swich places with XMR when it comes to DRK, I don't see it being used in the long run with its scammy past and doubtful anonimizing tech.
In any case the Bitcoin price, I would say it's going to be pretty stable until XMAS or so, with another bullish race, then another dump, then a slow steady growth during 2015 as more and more positive news arise in the mainstream media. Of course don't take this as fact, it's just a sill prediction.

When you realise that all the bitcoin in the world would not be enough to pay the fine that's recently been imposed on BNP Paribas, you realise just how small bitcoin is in the financial world.

Bitcoin may never go up to 1000 again seeing how good news on DELL didn't rally the price even the slightest.

Doubt we will see up-1000 again this year.

But we may scratch the 900's between september and december, because many rises start this perior of yer for some reason.

Its impossible say when we'll see the next big jump.

All we can say, lookig at the previous rises, it will be quick and big one, not motived by a single factor, and unpredictable.

But the end of year has big chance of being the next big rise, because people get extra-money in this period and lots of buys and sells due to new year and Xmas stuff, what can be good for the bitcoin business,
