Title: Should abusers/spammers of trust system be removed from the DefaultTrust chain? Post by: rarkenin on July 18, 2014, 06:07:06 PM For example, user U1TRA_L0RD is trusted in DefaultTrust from bitpop, while he has unanimously negative feedback that is from DefaultTrust (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=168841) and also negative-spammed Vod (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=30747).
Should this be handled in general? I do not mean to single out U1TRA_L0RD as an example, there are potentially more such users that do not belong on DefaultTrust. Or should I PM the person that trusts him (in this case bitpop) to resolve this? Title: Re: Should abusers/spammers of trust system be removed from the DefaultTrust chain? There is another similar case for TradeFortress (Free hugs! ♥) :P Title: Re: Should abusers/spammers of trust system be removed from the DefaultTrust chain? There is another similar case for TradeFortress (Free hugs! ♥) :P I thought the default was 3. Am I mistaken? The default depth is indeed 2, according to my own experience and also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0. These scores are taken from your trust network. They are not global scores. You can edit your trust network here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust If your trust depth is set to 2 (the default), you will trust feedback by people you trust, people they trust, and people they trust. I might change the default in the future; we'll see how this works. Your trust list is public. Title: Re: Should abusers/spammers of trust system be removed from the DefaultTrust chain? I imagine it would be complicated and difficult to go through each user on the list to see if they belong. Title: Re: Should abusers/spammers of trust system be removed from the DefaultTrust chain? If anyone is interested in the trust list of every person, you may check the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684268.0 :) |
