If you don't spend five minutes to explain the whole situation to us in detail, don't expect people to pay attention. Especially when this is your first post in here.

Especially when I just logged in to my account at ars and didn't find any hints of them turning off manual payments.

and how hard is it to email them?

or just in general doing a little bit of research before screaming to the hills?

From the pools (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=41.0) topic

[390 GH/s 0% fee SMPPS] ArsBitcoin mining pool! Come join us! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=18567.920)

Hello, it appears a malicious users has logged in to 22 different accounts.  Because of the limited nature (vs all 4000+ accounts) I believe the hacker either used some brute force method, or an existing leak of usernames/passwords to try and log into accounts.  For example, the MTGox leak a while back.

I've temporarily disabled all PIN, Address, and Payout changes, so you will not be able to change your password at the moment (but neither will any hacker.)  I sent an email out to the affected accounts that I know about at the moment.

I have also mined at ars with zero issues frontend or backend.   Just be patient and give burningtoad an e-mail.  He will definitely sort things out for you.

In case you haven't been following, manual cashouts (as well as changing settings in general) do work now. I just did it.
Like Marked cited, it was because someone was maliciously logging in and changing the payment addresses in people's accounts, so the pool operator (BurningToad) temporarily disabled everything. It works now, so I suggest you edit your original post so that you don't mislead others.
