No longer possible with so much competition.

Arbitrage is really not possible anymore as the market has become efficient enough so that there are only minor price differences between exchanges.

The trading fees will generally eat up any potential profit that you can make while trying to do an arbitrage as the price differences are generally well under .5 percent

There are definetly arb bots present, not realy sure whos managing them, since they are so easy to trick into buying/selling.
I arbed alot in jan/feb when spreads were insane, and i remember that exploiting the bots made a huge increase on my profits.
If you are considering using a bot, make sure its properly coded, and not just some 100 line junk code.

Can you explain a bit in detail how you've managed to trick the bots, this is very interesting.

this was when gox halted withdrawals but still allowed trading so the spreads were not really there. At least between gox and other exchanges

The more exchanges on the market - the more opportunities are there. At the glance I can see good price differences between major exchanges.

You need to take into consideration the fact that you need to pay trading fees of ~.2% for each trade (times two trades mean a min of ~.4%) and the fact that you need to move your bitcoin from exchange to exchange (same with fiat) and this takes time.

Don't even try arbitrage at this time. There are many threads proving as to why this is a sucker's game now.

I know good arbitrage bots, but they all are proprietary.

Hint: Use bots that they use at ordinary stock / derivative exchanges!

Small profits are still possible, of course not double digit % per month as it was before!

Just reference
Arbitrage: The purchase or sale of stocks / forex / precious metals / bond / or other commodities from one market to another separate but related. Arbitrage opportunities arise when the two companies plan to merge or when a contract is transacted in currencies other types of markets, in order to obtain equilibrium values or spot foreign exchange rate through the cross.
