7521 Ghash/s or 7.521 Th/s will make you .2 btc a day in the next difficulty level.

You will need to add approx 10-15% more hashrate every 2 weeks to keep making .2btc a day.

Ok, what equipment would i require to do that?

You will need 17 Antminer S3's.

https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140704023505485N5SxDMkW0693

.725 BTC each so 12.325 BTC or $7641.50 US.

You will also need 6 1300W PSU's and you will need 6.2KW of available power.

You will also need box fans to remove the heat and you will need 17 ethernet cables and a 24 port ethernet hub.

You will also need a rack to put all the miners on and some zip ties.

Do you have a room or garage with 3 X 30amp 220V breakers?

Also you will probably need to double this by the end of the year to keep making .2BTC a day.

Investing around 10,000$ USD is fine with me, however do you think it's worth it?

I don't know.  How much do you pay for power?

Do you have a place to put the miners and power hooked up already?  Do you already have power supplies?

What do you have?

To continue mining 0.2BTC a day you would need to constantly acquire more equipment every difficulty increase.  Assuming a simple 10% per jump, you would need to be spending $1000 every 12 to keep at 0.2BTC/day.

Is it worth it - well if you have free power and lots of space yes it can be very profitable.  If the space is not free or you are paying more than $0.07/KWH you will probably lose money.

Also if you are looking at it as an investment rather than hobby you have to consider the "time cost", setting up and managing miners takes time and depending on who you are that time can be worth nothing or a lot.

If you are new, you should ask which mining equipment would ROI?

Not the answer you want to hear.

Don't bother unless you have an unlimited supply of very cheap power. What's been suggested here (17 S3s) is probably the best deal right now. But you're probably going to max-out your circuit breakers if you have an average home. The electricity bill will make you cry and the heat and noise are going to drive you nuts.

Add to that, your initial returns will drop an average of 10-20% every 12 days and soon your .2 BTC per day will be .1 BTC per day.

The key as has been noted, is not the actual mining equipment, but power and space/cooling.

Unless you have cheap/free power and a well ventilated/cooled area, it's not going to end up being worth it .  Or unless you spend a ridiculous amount of money on hardware (?>$100k USD).

IF you have cheap or free power, right now IMHO you can't beat the Antminer S1.  It'll take a lot of them - about 40 - to get you to that 0.2BTC/day target (without subtracting running cost).  But, you can find them for about .22BTC, and 40 of them would run you around $5k.  With cheap power that would ROI in under 90 days with average difficulty increments.

We're running about 8TH/s (some Conterra boxes and S1's) on P2Pool, and we're around .23BTC/day with current difficulty.

you could go out side the box and host gear at gawminers.  you need 320mh to get .2btc

it would be on a multcoin pool with gear you own and they host. you can buy with a cc so you get some protection  do I think it is worth doing?

I have no idea.

although if you got the sale i got on the falcon 599 for 27mh with 90 days of free hosting I would say you should do it

here is my thread on having them host 32 mh

it has earn more then .021 btc a day so far so 10x my  hosted setup would do .21btc

If you want to earn those 0.2 BTC all the time, you need to invest 1000$ every 12 days, that may be worth it if you have free electricity or cheap. I would invest in that if i had an access to large ventilated rooms with good power circuit and free electricity, but right now it is more a hobby for me.

I think the more accurate answer here is not "you need to invest $1000 every 10-12 days" or "You need to add 10-15% more every 10-12 days".  The answer is that you need to figure out how much hashing power you need right now to earn 0.2BTC per day.  As has been pointed out, at current difficulty levels, that number is 7.451TH/s.  When the next difficulty jump happens, you will need to add an equivalent percentage of hashing power as the difficulty increase.  So, if the next jump is 10%, you need to up your hashing power by that same 10% (745.1GH/s) to maintain the 0.2BTC daily earnings.

If you have no hardware currently, then you're going to have to speculate what the next difficulty jump will be so that you can place your orders now to compensate.

Current pricing has 1TH/s miners (like the Dragons) at about $1500 shipped.  These miners come with power supplies and will run about 1000 - 1100 watts.
You could go the S3 route - although you'll have to wait until 8/7 for them to ship batch 5.  Each of those is 0.64BTC.  20 units should be enough, though you'd probably want to grab some extra to compensate for the difficulty jump.  These units do not come with power supplies, so you'll have to purchase those.  The Dell server supplies and breakout boards will each power 2 units.

In any case, you're looking at a decent investment up front, and then a variable additional investment every 2016 blocks.

By the way, you're going to need enough power to drive all of that hardware and enough cooling/airflow to manage all the heat they're going to generate... got your own datacenter, or planning to build one?
