Title: VMWare Ubuntu slow when windows is not
Post by: MakeBelieve on July 22, 2014, 11:19:04 PM
OK so I've tried running both these operating systems within vmware and it seems that ubuntu is very slow and not very fast but windows 7 on the other hand is super quick and is super responsive. Any idea what could be causing this or how I would find out what is causing it? It's really frustrating as I need to use ubuntu for a few things.

So it cames to the conclusion that Windows is better than Linux. I am not sure what is making your Ubuntu so slow. you may want to check things up and if it does not help reinstall it from the scratch.

That's going to be a pain if I have to reinstall. I must of configured something wrong even though most of the settings are the same for example ram is 4gb each (using 32bit for both operating systems so the limit is 4gb anyway) I don't think windows is better than windows but in my case with vmware it is at the moment. Is there any other better alternatives than VMware? I'm starting to doubt vmware rather than the operating system itself.
