It's a good counter to the media FUD that the only people who want to use Cryptocurrencies are drug dealers, pedos, terrorists, money-launderers or other criminal activity.
Having said that, having a coin where it's own community try to devalue the currency by holding massive drives to sponsor various things and then the subsequent enormous dumps to convert those donations into fiat, may teach those new users the wrong lessons... I'm not interested in any other currencies that are created in the same model - I'd rather donate to charities directly so that the tax can be written-off. Like, if I had kids I wouldn't let them play around with my Bitcoin wallet, so you could install Dogecoin for them so they can send and recieve coins with friends and what not and that would be fun and you are learning Bitcoin at the same time since the wallets are basically the same.
