Hey guys. IM putting up this poll so you can vote to how topcoin should be hard forked, if at all.

If anyone wants TOP changed (or not changed) you can post here.

If you diddnt know, The current coin is buggy and started reminting from the 1million blocks cycle again, and caused the amount of coins in circulation to be twice what it was.

This was actually a good thing, got new miners and interest in TOP again. And although there was twice as many coins, the price actually went up 1 latoshi =)

Anyway maybe we make a new coin to replace the current coin. We are back to 1 coin blocks, and there isnt much interest from miners to secure the network.   So We can do stuff like change the algo, reduce the coins in curculation, and introduce POS.

So you have max 4 votes. you can vote for what you want.

BURN 1:1000, this means we will reduce the coins in circulation by 1000x,   so i you had 10000 coins, you would now have 10.

Current supply 23 billion, 1:1000 will reduce it to 23 million

TOPCOIN coin on some big exchanges, has 15 game casino, learning centre and Ebay type shop. Top wont die any time soon, and we can make it stronger. Its currently undervalued, not because its shit, but due to all these dump scams flooding the market :D

I liked TopCoin, it was one of the first cryptos I ever bought. Definitely an easy way to learn the beginnings of the game. You were one of the first coins with an android wallet and "online casino."

I would vote 4 times for 1000:1 burn because as you are aware there are simply too many topcoins.

I would also like to see a coin like TopCoin introduce itself as a currency for online poker games like PokerStars and DragonPlay poker. I realize these companies might want to have total control over their own currency but maybe you can work with upcoming game developers to start getting them to accept TOP for their in-game currency.

What will happen with the exchanges and the games when you make a new coin. Same name? Available on mintpal?

Everything else should remain the same, it will just be switched to the new version of TOP. 

By the way, we will be designing a new logo and hopefully updated website/marketing materials as well.

I'm not sure how long we are letting the poll run, but make sure you vote!  If you are unable to use the poll because your account is too new, please post your votes in the thread here and we'll count them.  I know some folks were having trouble.

Heads up everyone, please get your old coins out of MintPal.com - they are closing their TOP/LTC market on August 7th.  I believe you will be able to withdraw for up to two weeks, but I would just get them out now and hold on to them for the exchange to the new TOP.  From the looks of the polls, we will most likely be doing a 1:1000 ratio - for example, if you have 1000 old TOP, you would get 1 new TOP.

If you haven't cast your vote yet, please do so!  I'm sure we'll probably be wrapping this up soon so we can get to work on rebuilding this beast ;D

Or no investors will be. It's like changing the rules of game when it's in a process.
Look what happened with Saturn coin. In several days after simple split (1:1000) the capitalisation dropped down, about 7 times less.

Now TOPcoin is not trading on any good exchange.
While investors remember it, we should get it on Cryptsy.
Now it needs only around 15000 votes to be on Cryptsy.

As for me, I promise to add 5000 votes, if 2 other persons add 5000 votes, each.

5000 votes = 0.75 btc (voting with Cryptsy Points)

If 5000 votes is too much, let's begin with 1000.

We are going with what the community has asked for...  and looking at the polls, it is clear they would like to drop the amount of coins down at the 1:1000 ratio.  This change paired with adding PoS, increasing PoW rewards, etc., all were things that we heard the community yearning for.  The TopCoin network as it was could not survive - it wasn't worth mining and thus, the dev team had to dedicate miners to it just to keep the network going.  Now, community members can happily mine again, or just stake and help out that way. 

What separates us from Saturn and other coins out there, is that actually have utilities in place where you can actively use your TopCoin - not just trade it on exchanges.  We will also be continuing work on the Crypto Center once v2 is successfully deployed, so that will provide even more practical tools for all of us to use.

Hopefully, you will see the real value in what we are doing, and go ahead with your votes for TopCoin at Cryptsy.  We have been through a lot, have never hid from our community, and will always be working hard to make TOP the best coin out there.

Having said everything above, I'm willing to throw in more BTC to the votes - it will only help get exposure for the leaner, meaner TOP ;D

That was my initial thought also, but the majority want it changed, so we will go with the 1000:1.

We have made the new coin already. We are just mining it for a few days to test out the POS.

specs are:  reward 5, pos 50%, and scrypt

We will launch the new coin in a few days (with a fresh blockchain) , then after that people can trade their v1 for v2

Its a totally automated process and we will keep a running total on the site, of how much is left.

so to do this we will premine the new coin 23 million, to cover the 23 billion v1.

We will keep the swap system up for about 1 month. or until all the coins are swapped, which ever happens first.
then after that time, the v1 network will shut down.

At the end of it any v2 coins not distributed, will be funded to the faucet for public distribution.
