If you wanna earn 1BTC/day then you will need more than some Intel CPU. Maybe try primecoin based coins or cryptonight based ones.

You can do some CPU mining but you will not get rich quick as said with CPU mining.

If you want to try mining, just get some antminer S3 Or you can purchase mining power on sites like lunamine (check my signature), pbmining and etc...

Opposite. With your equipment you'd be lucky to make a ROI mining BITCOIN DIRECTLY. You don't have the power for it.
You need to mine Cryptonote... IF you want ROI.

You can't make any money mining crypto currency with vps. It's not what they're designed for.
