Title: A2 Terminator Overclock 100Mh/s
Post by: Monkeys on July 27, 2014, 08:44:08 AM
Hi,

I've seen this picture from a guy in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626327.msg7547178#msg7547178

Which showed the Terminator a2 miners hashing at 100MH/s with the chips running at 1340Mhz. I have sent him a message to ask how he did it but he is Russian so I don't think he would understand.

Anyone got any info on how this could be done?

You could change it manually in config, but there was also a overclock image that worked to a point (i think it stopped working properly at a certain freq).

On this it would depend on chip's some.  Some people have better luck then others at higher frequencies.  It seems first batches (not all some can do it) have a harder time then newer batches.

But also look out at freq that high any warranties you have would be void most likely.

Yeah thanks, the overclock image available from the thread I linked only allows setting up to 1300Mhz per chip which yields around 96MH/s, but setting any high frequencies than 1300Mhz results in the chips defaulting to 1400Mhz which is way too high and results in 50% hardware errors.

It looks like someone got it working properly at 1340Mhz per chip and over 100Mh/s but he's not sharing how he did it and the guy is Russian =(

Lol, really not worries about warranty on this thing, it'll be basically worthless in about 3 months. I'm lucky that i only paid $3k for it!
