I fail to see how insulting politicians and showing a general lack of support towards your fellow crypto users benefits anyone. You have a direct impact in this matter. You can throw support behind your fellow crypto users with like minded goals or you can stand by, do nothing, and watch politicians create law without your input. Some in the academic world have said that the proposed regulations would create a bigger regulatory burden on businesses that exchange BTC for fiat then other money transmitters. Other then that I don't see anything that is over the top burdensome.
IMO the main point of the regulations is to prevent additional episodes like what happened with gox. |
