We keep getting 0 peers, so AceCoind is saying not connected and therefore we are unable to generate a new getblocktemplate. We are compiling up a wallet on a second server to try to resolve this.

There is a problem with the mined blocks - they are all orphaned.

The issue is that we are not connecting to any peers.

So both pools will ultimately be mining their own chains.

The coin seems very unstable with regard to connections - presumably because none of the seed nodes are on the clearnet and are all on TOR it appears.

Further, attempting to connect to ace.pool.mn directly to add nodes seems to fail - as I am trying to bridge the nodes of Pool.MN and HashHarder to resolve this issue - but either ace.pool.mn is NOT the node address, or the coin doesn't support this

That is often a pool issue not a coin issue, pool.mn mining fine.

It could be a TOR issue. I have seen coin that has TOR connection issue before. I have also heard about bittrex operator complaining about TOR connection also.

Actually, I'm not sure if it will help - as I tried setting up a separate node and using both addnode and connect to connect directly to it - which doesn't work with this coin.

DRKC didn't use tor and they had their own pool. I doubt it is the same dev. This coin has problems with peers and therefore forks.

Wanted to let everyone know that we are testing the changes that have been made to ensure the relaunch goes as planned. We tested it on testnet before the first launch and it went well but we will be testing it live and resetting the blockchain again to make sure everything is working correctly.

We are going to stick with the ninja launch since this gives smaller miners the chance to get some blocks before huge rentals and nice hash orders increase the difficulty and push the smaller miners out. Some people don't like ninja launches but unfortunately you can't please everyone. If you follow us on twitter we will tweet when the coin is relaunched or you can of course check this thread.

This coin already have TOR built in which means it take a little bit longer than usual to connect your wallet. U have to wait up to a min to connect your wallet because it need to establish connection with TOR.

Normal coin wallet without TOR connect in about less than 5 seconds.

Relaunch seems to have went well the network is holding up much better this time. Most of the hash is on HashHarder right now so spread the love to the other pools.

Next up are some additional GUI changes in the wallet, more content on the website and the beginning of our PR push.

We are also contacting a few people to see about getting a review of the code to verify that there is no hidden premine hope to have an update on that in the next day or two. We will also be getting the block explorer set up soon and are looking at getting one set up by a 3rd party to verify that ours is correct and there is no funny business.

My main account has been suspended temporarily due to "pool spam" (which seems unreasonable unless you are not supposed to post about a pool being up for a coin??) - if you can PM me your addresses I can look into this for you. Ideally also your email address to contact you with any updates.

I have just looked into it - and it seems that the "minimum amount" limit is high for this coin - as it was failing to send a 0.001 transaction, which was stopping the others and queuing them up. I've resolved that now.

Also it appears that the maturity time is less for this coin also.

We're awake and working on a fix right now. We have synced to Hash Harders blockchain and will be releasing a wallet update as soon as we test to confirm everything is working properly.

Github has been updated for any pool OPs and those that compile their own wallets. Windows wallet is building and will be up soon. Seed nodes and HashHarder are on the same chain.

We have been communicating with the dev most of the day as they attempt to resolve the issues.

Things seem promising.

We restarted the seed nodes in case people were banned from trying to connect with the old client. Here are some additional nodes:

It is important to get on an exchange but since we've had a rocky start we want to make sure that everything is technically sound before doing so. If everything is not right things are much trickier when an exchange is involved and we would hate for investors or an exchange to lose money. Now that everything is going well we are focusing on getting the block explorer and rich list up and I will be responding to the PMs now that I have a little more time.

We're almost 3/4 of the way through PoW and with the last wallet update we added more PoW blocks to compensate for the PoS blocks that had entered so the money supply didn't end up short of our target. More updates to come soon.

What pool were you mining on and when did you mine them? When the fork occurred HashHarder had both the longest chain and a very high majority of the hashrate so that was the chain that was chosen.

We are working on the official explorer and I am talks with someone to get a 3rd party explorer up for a btc bounty.

Well, minerpools was on the wrong chain when the fork happened, and as I posted before, not even syncing to the main chain worked, too many people lost coins, all blocks are orphans. I can launch the pool again in about 20 mins.

EDIT: Pool's back up, all previous blocks were orphaned but it's now on the correct chain.

There is update wallet ? PoW now end...

We haven't yet hit PoW cutoff and no wallet update should be needed. We are keeping a close eye on everything. More PoW blocks were added to make up for the PoS blocks that entered the chain before the fork. The last PoW block is 3082, we are currently at 3027.

We are working on the official explorer right now and are also paying someone to set up a 3rd part explorer. Both should be up soon.

since PoW is coming to an end. Will there be any road map available ? Wanted to know the direct of where the coin is heading few months down the road.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update. I've gotten a couple PMs from people who are saying their wallets are going out of sync so we have been working to resolve that since yesterday. In the meantime just hang tight with your coins and they'll be safe. Once we get this taken care of we'll work on getting added to an exchange.

To answer a few questions in the thread so far:

1. PoW is now over I will change the OP to reflect that.

2. The person who mined 200k+ coins had 2gh/s+ on HashHarder almost the whole PoW period. It is not us but everyone had the same opportunity to mine and that person decided to invest quite a bit in rentals so if anything it's a good sign that someone with a bit of money is interested in this coin. It's a lot of coins but they got them fairly.

I have seen coins insta-mined a whole lot worse and they are very successful due to their technology... Google and you will see.

If the dev sticks around and works with the coin, it will be fine.

That's a very decent amount considering the small total coin...  Did you solo?

no on a pool, it didnt' take too long either, diff was really low. I wish I mined more now. But at the same time there was Zipcoin and DoS coin so I went over to those as the difficultly was really low on those. Got 40,000 DoS and 10,000 Zip. all in matter of hours.

TOR is already done you can see for yourself by typing getpeerinfo in the debug window.



PoW is over and no more PoW blocks are being accepted but it is common for people to continue mining well after the mining period is over because they forgot or didn't look to check the info in the OP.

I wanted to give an update. We are still working on the wallet syncing issue that some are experiencing. We have been talking to some devs of other coins so we're hoping to have an update out in the next day or two. After that is released we'll start talking with some exchanges and are thinking of trying for c-cex or coinswap first unless you all want to help out with getting on Bittrex by tweeting them or asking in their IRC channel.

For a coin that has such a small total amount of coins 10,000 is a lot of this coin to own. It will have a high price when it hits an exchange.

My wallet has been rock solid from the start...  

For those whose wallets won't sync:

Make a backup of your wallet.dat file

Delete the whole Acecoin folder from your user/appdata/roaming

Download the lasted wallet version and run it once then close the wallet

Make the Acecoin.conf file with the lines provided above and place it in the newly created Acecoin folder

Now run the wallet again and let it sync all the way

Copy your backup wallet.dat to the newly created Acecoin folder

This is what we're currently working to fix.

After we get the new wallet update out we'll work on the exchanges. Problems like this are much more difficult to deal with when exchanges are involved. The next step is to then outline our plan and ETA's for upcoming features.
