Still same now, great time to sell at 7.52 with target to 4-5 (ltc at btc-e) stop at 7.92.

Bitcoins  is also great to sell right now. btc slowly moves to 220.

Two main factors works here such as unsafety of crypto system and technical analysis.

This great time LTC, because LTC too much mined by ASIC. and diff. still low

But, this time great time to but BTC. because the price went down a bit

August is bloody month for btc .
you cant do anything to fundamental stuff, as hard you try.

UPDATE btc slowly moves to 220.

A good spreading strategy is short litecoin and long bitcoin.

more than 1000$ per bitcoin by the end of the year :)

I don't think bitcoin will reach a bottom of 220$, with all the good news of these months and the adoption of big companies
it should be closer to the start of a new rally rather than dropping at low values.

I have an 10oz of silver that says BTC does not hit $220. 

When I said that goes down I meant that price move to direction of 220 where 220 is a lowest bottom.
Those news is okayish, compared to the fundamentals.


I hope it does so, then I will be among first who know this. Funny though there was almost the same reaction to my prediction where I told that price will reach 390 in a couple weeks wich done at february 4.

Wont happen, cost to mine 1 bitcoin is $600, so we have 3 options: above 600, near 600 for some months maybe, and 0 in the long run.


The good time to sell was above 600, now you risk sell at the bottom.

You may try to short want try to multiply your coins until the recover, though.

even before checking if this is true, i would say that just means that hash rate will fall. so?

So network will be more vulnerable and confirmations will take longer?

The price nudges slightly lower and the panic merchants are out in force.

Pretty bold move to suggest people sell their coins now.  Why not suggest they buy on the dip if you suspect there will be lower prices.  I don't think people should take this advice, personally is just seems rather rash.  Feels almost like the fud bears spew a lot around here but at least you take the time to explain yourself.

I personally think we are in the middle of a bear trap  though it could be heading south I don't think it is a good reason to suggest selling coins.  People shouldn't attempt to start trading and should hold is the best choice in my experience.

The Bitcoin price has begun to descend.  I believe that the Bitcoin price will continue down in the weeks to come...

it could be a great time to cash in your Bitcoins now and await for the suspected price decline, and then buy back in when the price has stabilized, thats my opinion  8)

Good post, unlucky I cannot add anything else but, corse I WOULD suggest to buy if saw a good price wich I dont see now. In some way I'm bearish trader (in current market?) therfore im sure more in bearish trends than bullish. Indeed bold move and therefore I wouldn't' be posting my forecast if woulnd't be pretty sure in it.

Thanks for clarifying and I do appreciate your willingness to have a discussion, I really respect that.  I'm more just thinking of people who may take your words as gospel instead of using an open mind needed to hear as many different views as possible before making any decisions.  You bring up some interesting points that I for one will take into consideration. 

$400-450 is possible, $220 probably not, if only in a short-lived spike on one exchange like the one that happened in March on btc-e.

i don't think it will  lower much, it will stay around 400

trend is up. trend is your friend. never trade against the trend.

technical trend is fifty fifty right. if you use it right you will get your 51% up to 53%, which gives you constant gain with the right money management, so you get rich.

Exactly! Speaking of which, where do you see the trend is up? Mid-term trend has been going sideways, long-term trend is still down or at least bottoming, uptrend hasn't started yet (breakout above $700 would signal the start of uptrend).

Oh, I got it, you must be talking about noise price fluctuations, lasting days and or weeks at the longest. I see now, you're a day-trader.

Litecoin will probably go away slowly.

Based on the market cap, NXT coin is likely to get to 2nd spot to replace litecoin.

When discussing trends you can really use any time period to make it look in your favor.

I would disagree that this is a "good" time to sell bitcoin. The price has recently declined so the price is low. Bitcoin does have a lot of long term potential and will likely end up at much higher levels then it is now.

LTC on the other hand, not so much

When I said I don't find the trend is up anywhere in sight, I mean the trend started from when the price of Bitcoin reached its all time high back in December 2013, that's the only trend I look at and it looks downwards or sideways at best. This is a mid-term trend I check for trading decisions or we can call it long-term trend if months is long-term.

The longest Long-term trend measured in years from January 2009 is still up I believe.

Any other short-term price movements lasting weeks - I am not interested in those, because they are not trends.

I would not sell now, after the today's drop I'm expecting a short term bounce.

If ask me, then I'm still preffer to sell. Still good time to sell.

Probably we will going down again, the rise will happen in some weeks from now.

A drop like this week set a new trend for the next few months if there is no good news.

Buying for short term rebound when the risk of dropping a lot further is not a good strategy.

For LTC this is correct. It is really not worth very much long term as BTC is much more secure. BTC on the other hand will likely rise over the long run, it may or may not fall further from where it is now but it odes have a lot of long term potential

Price on LTC is so low that you might as well hold it longer.

The risk of going down further is smaller since the price is so low already.

I dont see any reason why ltc could not fall to 2.00 in a few days.

It's definitely still a great time to sell bitcoin with the price still being quite high for them and meaning you can make quite a bit for them. Holding them longer though will change that it's just a case of not being sure which way it will go up or down, it's worth a risk to hold though before selling to see if the price rises and you can make more when selling.

I see the value of ltc now in equilibrium to btc.

time to time i am making some calculations for myself, calculating the mining costs.

I calculate mining profit of ltc $0.007147 with electricity costs $0,0003-0,0006 and compare with btc data $0.000546; $0,0000375-0,00007 and see the ltc price is still a little overpriced and the bitcoin price underpriced.

with the coming up new generation of asics the price should go over time to the region of $2, when btc stays 500. ltc difficulty will triple, btc will double.

Huge price increase. Still over 90% down from peak.

That decrease of the bitcoin price was the needed breath of fresh air for some people to invest in btc. It will increase again, very soon.

Exactly, if it wasnt because Coblee was the dev and he had connection, I think no one woulda given a fuck about the coin. Its not the first alt also, there were other alts before Litecoin.

The price will not go to zero however it will not have any real long term value. LTC does not have any feature that BTC does not have and it's network is much less secure

Litecoin is going to revert back to its true value of around US$0.05 to US$0.10 as a pure play for traders.

this is indeed the perfect time to sell litecoin. but bitcoin isn't done climbing yet. if you sell now, then you'll regret it within a few days.

I'm quite sure this is gonna be true. Every litecoin holder should sell before the halving.. It will drops hard just after that :-)

Litecoin is under value as a much needed hedge against a bitcoin failure. So i think 5$ is fair. In case Gavincoin keeps being the talk then we'll maybe even see 10$ and 20$ again.
