That was, bitcoin in Jan-Jul. Bitcoin was destined to go down to $300, and Garrett got it right.

Anyone refusing to believe bitcoin bubbled in nov/dec 2013 is a moron.  HOWEVER the bigger morons are the ones that thought and still think that when a bubble pops the only outcome is zero value..

IMO Bitcoin will bubble atleast 3 more times.  It has bubbled 4 times already.

We have been in this hype cycle before, and we will be in the future.
At the moment I think we are near the bottom value for this period, in few months we should see the birth of the next bubble.

Newbies posting this graph is just a natural part of the cycle. I've seen this graph posted at least 20 times, all the way up from $5.

:D

I wonder if we can predict future prices from the frequency of this chart being posted in the speculation subforums...

Who the fuck is Garrett?  The analyst firm Gartner is the one who is famous for their hype cycle model.

2013 matches 2011
2014 looking to match 2012

2015 is undecided.

Agreed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=717215.0)

The interesting thing is how long the plateau of productivity would last in this model.

And BTW with an increasing user base (and it still being a relatively small one at that) this hype cycle can play out over and over again, each time with the cycle being reflected by a corresponding price increase.

Yeah, who the fuck is Garrett? Garrett, whoever he is, has nothing to do with that graph according to wikipedia. Perhaps me_12 could enlighten us.
