I have been Googling for hours and I need help.

I am working on my site, and I want to be able to post a full image rather than have a small rectangle box featured image.

I want something similar to:

uberhumor.com

I have tried changing the resolution of the featured image, the picture opens up, but it's still in that stupid box.

I guess if I can just get the box removed or something.

I am using Simple theme by Luis Zuno

Help appreciated.

ETA: I just want to make Blog posts and have a full image come up on the home page

Where the full image shows.

Please.. They are screenshots. All Images. I am not trying to embed youtube videos or anything..

The concept of the site is just a funny page to post funny youtube comments. I find  myself laughing at the comments more often than the videos sometimes.

I have had people come to me and try to embed youtube videos in the feature image, and another just click buttons around at the admin panel.. Please read it carefully.

I have one promising helper looking at the code.

This seems to have something to do with your layout.

What theme are you using? Can you edit a screenshot to show exactly what you want it to look like?

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking for but this may help. If it does I could really use that bounty :p

You want images to not be in a box right? Like not have a border?

Also I googled and this is what someone else said about removing the borders:

"What you can do is in the Text Editor, first click on the picture. Then on the image icon that says Insert/Edit image. There you can change some things like border (fill in 0)."

The first thing didn't either? With that it looks like you could make the borders really cool.

Are you choosing thumbnail or full sized when you're uploading? If so try choosing large.

If you're trying different stuff too, make sure you're reuploading the images each time. They DO NOT automatically change.

When you are uploading the pictures where you are putting exactly them? In the visual or text tab?
Also what are you choosing when uploading an image? Full size, tumbnail?

From what i can tell he just needs to change the layout of the page he wants the pictures on.


Right now it looks like he has a body with a sidebar.  If you want the layout to be full screen body, you'll either need to edit the template to remove the sidebar, or if the theme has the option to not use the sidebar on certain pages do that.

Wordpress is probably one of the easiest engines to edit how you want it to look. Give me some admin creds and i can probably fix this for you.
