Title: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: KillerTank on August 01, 2014, 12:47:15 PM My Terraminer IV starts up, runs for 2-3 minutes at full power (1.6 TH), and then stops hashing. That just started last night after trying for several hours to resolve my other issue...
Other issue is that I can't seem to get more than one miner to hash for any length of time. Before the Terraminer went tits-up, all 3 would turn on and start hashing, but after a few minutes, one would go inactive, and then an hour or so later another one would. I tried assigning different IP addresses to the Antminers (the terraminer is not a "static IP" so I don't know if that is part of the problem...). I dug through the forums, and found this post about multiple antminers...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=708895.0 About halfway down "psahx" says to: "SSH into your S2, then Code: ifconfig lan0 down macchanger -r lan0 ifconfig lan0 up as I am not familiar with antminers, I hope they have some decent distro installed, which will have the macchanger. If not, you'll have to try to install it. Code: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install macchanger macchanger-gtk" I found out that SSH means to open a command window... I tried using PuTTY... No luck... It wouldn't connect with anything. I am a complete noobie, with ZERO knowledge of IT, but am a quick learner. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Please help Post by: psahx on August 01, 2014, 04:53:33 PM About halfway down "psahx" says to: My answer was regarded to a totally different issue. ;D Try to identify your problem first, I would go with router settings, to see if there is something preventing more than X number of connections. Provide a bit more info about your network settings, miner IPs and stuff. I will try to help you. EDIT: A screenshot of your routers LAN and DHCP config would be helpful too. Try to put 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS, see if that helps. What are your other miners? I can see only 1 Terraminer connected. Are the other miners connected through wifi? Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: KillerTank on August 02, 2014, 10:05:49 PM I have two antminer s1's. both are hashing, but only one shows on my ghash worker pool.
That is the primary issue I am trying to resolve. Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... I would stay away from GHASH... Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: KillerTank on August 03, 2014, 12:04:58 PM Are you suggesting it is an issue with GHash?
what pool do you recommend? Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: psahx on August 03, 2014, 05:16:29 PM Are you suggesting it is an issue with GHash? what pool do you recommend? Any other than ghash. Here are some suggestions. These are my favorites, with the same order I have setup my miners failover: BTCGuild (http://www.btcguild.com) - 2% PPLNS F2Pool (http://f2pool.com) - 4% PPS Eligius (http://eligius.st) - 0% CPPSRB p2pool (http://minefast.coincadence.com/) - 0% PPLNS Slush (http://mining.bitcoin.cz) - 2% Exponentaly scored You can find more pools here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.0). As for S1s. I would recommend to use wired connection instead of wireless. Anyway do the following:
Example: Code: #1 S1 - 192.168.0.151 Give me the screenshot of your DHCPs configurable settings, maybe there will be more to tweak. Good luck! Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: bbxx on August 03, 2014, 10:26:44 PM polmine.pl 1% pps and nmc merged mining
best pool ever :) i dont care about pool luck i love pps we have almost 2 ph now Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... I have 4 ant's and my terraminer hooked up to a switch. the terraminer and ant's 1&2 are hashing away at full speed. ant's 3&4 power on but don't hash, and don't show on my worker pool (I also tried a 5th ant, same result). I can't find an option to set the "DHCP lease time." I am going to change the IP addresses to 150 and above now. Also, I am confused... If I set "ending IP address" to 150, and then put all my addresses above 150, doesn't that put my IP addresses outside the useable range? or am I misunderstanding something? Thank you for the help, I really would like to get these up and running ASAP. Time is money. And the blockchain needs us! ;-) Title: Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help Post by: psahx on August 09, 2014, 06:06:52 PM Read carefully what I have wrote again, and do everything step by step, as I have described. You will find more settings to configure under DHCP, when you enable the advanced option. There should be lease period setting in there. Give me a screenshot, though.
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) will lease you IPs for a given time period. What we want to achieve here, is that you will have your router 149 addresses reserved for DHCP use, and another 104 for static use, so your DHCP won't mess with your miners. |
