Title: David Latapie's reputation thread
Post by: David Latapie on August 01, 2014, 07:18:17 PM
Here it is. Rep thread, nuff said.

Monero core team member

I believe a rep thread is also a place to write down a crypto résumé, so voilà.
I arrived in Cryptoland in January 2014. Some have a hard time believing it - and me also, sometimes.

I'm helping Noble (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=402667). I am co-dev on Mintcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381) (since relaunch), HyperStake (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849) and most importantly Monero (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449).
I write several in-depth articles about cryptos on my blog (http://david.latapie.name/). My name appears on several famous places, like Coins Source (article (http://coinssource.com/monero-interview/)) and Poloniex (press release (https://www.poloniex.com/press-releases/2014.07.23-Poloniex-Welcomes-New-Monero-XMR-Markets))

I am a man of my word (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=315650), even when it costs me. My post count may not look that big because I usually merge my successive posts into one so don't consider the post count too much. I don't pump and dump, I try to help and warn people (especially newcomers). I'm in crypto for two reasons: getting rich and changing the world for the better (in no particular order).

When in doubt, assume good faith (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Assume_good_faith) - this is what I'll do with you. If you appreciated dealing with me, use the Trust button on the border.

OTC trading: if you want to sell a large stash of XMR without disturbing the price (and losing money in the process), contact me - you'll get an answer and probably a deal.

Should you see other things that are worth mentionning, please tell me. I might create a compilation of the posts I am the most proud about, at leas as a memento for me but it might be of use for you too.

I can vouch that all experiences with David so far have been pleasant and professional.  I believe he is a true man of his word and I wouldn't hesitate to conduct business with him in the future.

I have dealt with David a number of times and still do all with positive outcomes. He is professional, polite and a man of his word so far. Almost too pleasant some times. :)

David and I have interacted for some time now on and off of BCT. He's been very honest and usually helpful. The few times he wasn't was because neither of us knew the answer :D

Most importantly from a trust standpoint, things said to him in private have remained so until I said otherwise. I have not had monetary interactions with David, but having come to know him, I would be quite willing to do so. He's also a good man to seek advice from, because he thinks about his responses.

David has a great rep and is honest. I have escrowed for him a few times and he always honors his agreements. Don't be hesitant to do business with David.
