The site was honestly ready today, many of you have already tried it out but our developer has personal matters to tend to and we are delaying launch until he is available (hopefully tomorrow). Cannot risk launching without his support. I'm extremely sorry to those of you who stayed awake for this.

Sadly everyone will need to create new accounts. The change is too big to be able to integrate the two.

We also want everyone to start off on even playing field as many release giveaways will be centered around site activity.

You can now. In the future, it won't probably be. I don't see any reason Stunna should block tor since it promotes anonymity and Bitcoin is meant to secure your anonymity. It won't probably make any difference if Tor is blocked since people can still access using private VPNs.

This isn't the issue of whether Stunna cares or not. You are placed at risk of an identity theft. People wouldn't risk their identity for a little casino which offers features other casino have. If I am a tor user and value my identity a lot, I wouldn't want to risk it to visit a site run by someone whom I don't know and does not allow tor.

Tor won't be blocked that's for sure, some people maybe don't want to revel theirs IP to a gambling site. Even thou PD doesn't store personal info but still whoever wants to hide theirs IP they can do it .

It's probably not PD or stunna you want to be worried about. In some countries gambling is illegal or some people just might not want the NSA or anybody who is snooping knowing their business and they have a right to anonymity that is not being respected, so they use tor.

It is correct . There are times for diff timezones so it shows time on ur timezone . For example for me that will be 12:00 CET . And for me shows 6 days 18h .

Mainland Europe might be but i'm pretty sure London is the standard for GMT so it is itself should be GMT and everything else is measure against it (though maybe ive got something wrong here  ???). Did you have to input the +1 yourself or did it do it automatically?

No i just put in GMT and i was correct pd time and my time. I think its correct. Anyways be there 1-2 hours in advance just to get the hype going. :)

I had a look yesterday and the probably fair system was almost exactly the same as JD's except for a change to make it roll between 0 and 99.99 instead of 0 and 99.9999 at JD. There was also a slight problem with it which I pointed out and which will no doubt be fixed before launch.

This is great to see, Stunna?  All my problems I've had with PrimeDice are now resolved :) It's great to see all these improvements, I'll definetly be keeping an eye out on the affiliate program :)

Keep in mind for PD3 launch all accounts will be able to be "referred" by users again.

This means there will be a big rush to get people to sign up under you to be eligible for their bonus. This will be a GREAT way to earn Bitcoin. If this interests you I'd recommend devising a type of plan in order to make the most of this opportunity straight away!

I don't think that will work... if you look closely, it's an animated gif that is generated when you load the page.

It will count down for a while, then either stop or loop.

You'll need to reload the image occasionally to keep it counting.

How will the ref earning be calculated? And how does the new jackpot feature work?

Affiliate system will work like this :
You get 10% of house edge on total wagered of ur ref , so doesn't matter if he wins or lose, u get % of his total wagered.
So house edge is 1% , that means u get 0.1% of total wagered of every player u refer , FOREVER ! :D .

As for JACKPOT, it will be like when u roll one number (still to be decided which one ) my suggestion is 99.99 , u get 10x ur bet , no matter if ur bet is win or lose, u get 10x .
Which means house edge will be lowered to about 0.9%

Its dependent on total wagered not on bet size. And chat will have pretty big roll . And no , u can't lose levels .

U won't lose balance there will be option to easily transfer balance from pd2 to pd3 account.

This looks really promising.  The chat improvements alone will be welcome.  I hate to lose my sweet low user ID but that is life.  I also like the idea of being able to reclaim your name, so every scammer doesn't grab pokerjet and micro! :o)

It would be so much easier if accounts could just be transferred over. I also hope for manual passwords to be set so it's easier to login on my phone and other devices. I know it's less secure but it could be made so that passes have to be at least 10 characters.

PD3 has whole new backend and different database menagment so its not that easy to transfer , pd3 doesn't have user id's , its just usernames, and also there are alot of un used id's on pd2 .

Yes u will need to setup password when u get on pd3 , its pretty secure and 2fa might be added later on.

U should use strong 10-14 characters password with upper case , lower case letters and numbers. For now.

There will ofc be notice to chose strong enough password like every other site does, if u still decide to use week one , its ur choice. But i will suggest to dev to make it so that u can't choose to week password, if that is not already set.

I get ur point, that is why i also suggested to add some type of 2fA , but setting strong password is user responsibility, its same on every other site, there is a notice how strong ur pass is , and that is all. U chose how secure u want it to be.

Yes they will be free of house edge forever. People will play it alot but it won't be always easy to find somebody to play against , so u will have to play dice. PvP won't lower amount of bets on regular game. Or maybe it will just a bit , nothing to worry about :) . Its fun game , its no house edge game, everybody loves that :D . Let the house worry about how it affects its revenue :) .

You definitely wouldn't see a password like that getting brute forced any time soon. It'd definitely not be the best course of action to check those sort of passwords from an exploiters point of view.

If I have an existing PD2 account with money in it, should I transfer it out sometime between now and release, and set up a new account on PD3?

How is the transfer going to work for the existing PD2 users? Or will the old PD2 account get nuked?

Micro said that the funds could be transferred from PD2 to PD3 accounts, but as a safety measure, personally, I would withdraw them on the eve of PD3 release date... 8)

PD2 will still be accessible via the URL www.old.primedice.com. From there you can cashout to your new Primedice deposit address. No need to worry what so ever :)

Primedice actually 'invented' dicing (Alongside coinroll) as it is today (With dynamic odds, off chain etc.). This is our game.

U won't be able to play on it , it will be only to transfer funds.

The ability to play against the house remains. Playing against the house is quicker and more convenient. PvP will hopefully attract attention to that as well.

How is that going to work? Gamblers will want to get the maximum edge and whales will definitely affiliate themselves, not matter how much hurdles you place.

Most of the competition is crowd-funded, meaning the house itself only gets to keep a small percentage of the profits (typically 10%).

PD is privately bankrolled, so they keep all the profits for themselves. That means they can afford things like signature campaigns, affiliate programs, etc. more easily than the competition.

Suppose the affiliate program offers 0.1% of a player's wagers to the affiliate, for life. That's only 10% of the profit the house expects to make from the player, but it's 100% of the profit a crowd-funded site would expect to make from them.

As I see it, that is the biggest problem with accepting "investments" on a dice site - it makes you much less profitable (as a percentage of turnover) than not doing so.

And makes possibility to do same as Everydice and scam players and investors .
That is main reason i hate that just-dice is out of the business , as i see it , that was the only site i would trust with investment.

It's also an issue that marketing costs have to come out of those limited profits.  Which is why I'm surprised that another investment dice site has a very competitive signature campaign.

As I recall, Just-Dice had only a very small give away when it first opened, .01 to 100 users or something like that, and that was it, and that was when btc was around 100 USD per coin.

And, as noted by MICRO, with investment sites you always run the risk of the operator Running Away with the Coins^TM.  This was solved on Just-Dice by dooglus being exceptionally honorable.

Just-Dice hardly advertised at all, that's true. We gave away 200 or 300 gifts of 0.01 at launch, but that's about it.

I paid Klye for his signature, but that was more about him being able to eat than about the signature itself. And we had a few poker freerolls and other giveaways.

But for the most part JD spread by word of mouth, and did amazingly well that way.

Dicebitco.in is currently paying out more than they will earn in the near future. This is called investing, and people/companies that have funds to do that will most of the time choose to do so.

Bootstraping companies only do it because they don't have much choice.

Here to dispel a concern about weak passwords. PD3 uses a strong password hashing algorithm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bcrypt) that is specially slower to protect against brute forcing. Not to mention we'll notice someone sending hundreds of login attempts...

Stunna, I remember you saying something about if you roll a 77.77 you get x10 your payout. What is the max bet you'll be doing that for?

Same as usual. Max payout is 40 BTC. So you can essentially win 390 BTC in one roll. Keep in mind this is a 1/10,000 thing.

Delayed for at least another 18 hours... Could have never seen this issue arising. Very very unpredictable. Personal issues are to do with our staff/developer. Everything had been good to go for the last 48 hours (Ask MICRO and other BETA testers. The site was basically flawless).

I'm assuming someone who was pentesting found a big problem? at least it was found before the site was made public I suppose.

I found a big problem in PD2 last night - the ">99.99" and "<0.01" games turn out to have had a 50.5% house edge all along, not 1% as was advertised. I saw one guy posting his results, he was playing the 0.01% game over and over, rolled in the top 0.01% of possible rolls, but was awarded a loss, not a win. It appears that you only have a 0.005% chance of winning the 0.01% game, so the payout is only half what it should be to give a 1% edge.

I don't know if that's related to the delay in the launch of PD3 or not, since I don't know whether the same problem exists in PD3.

The main reason for delay if anyone is wondering is our developer had something come up in real life and we didn't want to launch without him on, he should be returning later today and everything will be prepared at that time.

Turns out it does, but only 0.005% of the time (one in 20 thousand rolls) - but it only pays out 9900 times the stake when it hits.

That was error on previous dev behalf . And its sorted out on pd3 by actually rolling only up to 99.99 . So when u play 9900x on pd3 u are aiming to get 99.99 , just coz 100 is hard to get that way.

I also never thought about it , i saw couple of 0 and 100 in my 360k bets on pd, also there are some bet ids from players that actually won 9900x . I won one on pd3 in less than 10k bets total. I also won jackpot in that 10k bets.

I highlighted some keywords in dooglus' quote. Dooglus never said what you claimed. He said it's possible in theory, if you don't change your client seed and if PrimeDice feeds you pre-designed bad rolls, which he doesn't think they are doing.

I was getting that using Firefox, switched to google Chrome and worked fine.

Works here on Firefox. I don't think it depends on the browser. Site only launched a few minutes ago and it could have had some network/server issues so everything should work fine now.

They do them from time to time and you get a lot more in the faucet, though maybe theyre not doing them now with the new faucet levels.

It's not just >99.99 that is affected. *Every* bet is 0.005% harder to win than advertised. It's just that when the bet is advertised as 0.01%, the 0.005% error is half your advertised chance of winning, so it is hugely significant.

What this means is that on average 1 in every 20,000 bets in the history of the site was incorrectly marked as a loss instead of a win.

With 750 million bets on the site, that means that around 37500 bets were settled as losses when they should have been wins.

If you have any evidence of me saying that, I'll give you 10 BTC. It never happened.

It looks like the 0.005% error in the house's favour is only on PD2 and not PD3. PD3 is using something very similar to the Just-Dice system.

In fact it's more like the PRCDice system before they fixed it to prevent the sjess exploit.

I mentioned during beta testing that PD3's system picks high numbers more often than low numbers. Did you decide that didn't need fixing? It's possible that the effect isn't significant enough to matter; I didn't analyse it enough to be sure.

As You have reputation as a man of his word, I was sure that will get my 0.01 soon, so I started gambling on the old site, waiting for the new PrimeDice and I knew that I could loose my 0.025 because soon will get your promised 0.01 bonus and will deposit them to the PD3. but when I loosed my coins, noticed that promised bonus still not arrives, checked topic where Stunna promised it and noticed that you changed the rules, and I need to have 30 post to get it, but I had only half by that time.

Only 180,000 10,000x payout bets were made. Meaning about 9 would have been settled incorrectly. Will find those 9 bets soon when have time to run a proper query on whole database

Yeah, it has assumption if he changed rules after some time. I registered few years ago, not a newbie. Imagine you go to the bank, they promise you credit and after a week or so, change some rules and your plans ruin.

No, you aren't understanding:


Every bet was unfair, not only the 9,900x multiplier ones.

For example:

To win <49.5 you had to roll <49.495000 to beat the unfair rounding, and so only had a 49.495% chance of actually winning.

Similarly, to win >50.5 you had to roll >= 50.505000 to beat the unfair rounding.

Every bet on the site had a 0.005% smaller than advertised chance of winning.

That means that roughly 0.005% of all bets were unfairly paid as losses when they should have won.


How was 0 working fine?

If you try to roll "<0.01", you had to get <0.005000 for the rounding to give you a 0.00. That again is a 1-in-20k chance.

I believe I saw stunna say in chat that the 20btc raffle won't be for 2weeks after launch, so it gives those people who don't gamble big amounts enough time to gain more levels which determines how many "raffle tickets" you'll get for the giveaway. I could be wrong, but I'm sure we'll get the complete details soon.

Do we have a fix for the "on no! An error occurred" screen yet?  Kinda a bummer that it seems like some can get on and some can't. We feel like we are missing out I think.
