Title: Alt coin arbitrage in an exchange
Post by: ed_teech on August 03, 2014, 09:51:06 AM
Hello,

Does anyone know any bots that exchange alt coins in an exchange (like MintPal or Cryptsy) ?

For example you've got 1 btc, a high trend in DRK causes the bot to exchange BTC/DRK, another trend in DOGE causes to convert to DRK/BTC -> BTC/DOGE, at the end DOGE/BTC and you've got 1.1 btc.

Seems fun  ;D

I think you can open a topic offering to pay someone for writing such bot. I am sure someone already thought about a bot for altcoins.

I'm very confident that someone has made a bot for it. I'm also confident that they don't want to share. Cryptocurrency is unlike other open source projects in this regard.

I've had the suspicion that a whale is bouncing between Cloak and DRK this past week, and possibly among some of the others, but I'm not sure if it's a bot necessarily.

For a while there the price was going up on one and down on the other, then this pattern would reverse. Mind you, I haven't autocorrelated them or anything to confirm this, it was just me eyeballing them as it happened.
