Title: My "investing with/in blockchain.info note" to them...
Post by: OROBTC on August 04, 2014, 06:48:23 PM
...

I have not seen this addressed directly here, so I post a copy my note (text) to blockchain.info (http://blockchain.info) FYI (in blue):

Please re-direct this request to anyone who might be interested in investing with/in you, thanks!

Is blockchain.info (or any parent company) interested in INVESTORS from the USA?  I know that you likely get this question all the time, maybe it should be a "FAQ", smile...  If you all do welcome (or maybe welcome) outside investors like me (and some friends) who REALLY LIKE your services, please let me know.  Thank you!

Best,

"OROBTC" (I actually used my real name)

If this topic has been addressed here before, someone please direct me there.

If there are people interested in the same idea (investing with them, before their IPO I hope), please comment or PM me (or email me if you already have my gmail address).

My network of "alt BTC suppliers" is growing, smile,,,  Just picked up some more yesterday!

I don't think that blockchain.info is the kind of business that needs investors. From what it seems, they earn most of their income from services that advertise through their website. They're an established web wallet, I guess that they would need investments in case of expanding business but to me that just sounds too risky according to what services they offer and what people know them for.

yep what he just said.

the revenue generation of blockchin.info is small in comparison to an exchange. or a business that SELLS actual products or services. so throwing money at them may be used to expand the stability of the website, but the returns will be low.

It seems like this guy here was looking for some sort of private investments. This could surely be more secure than what is being advertsised in the securities section. Remember how many "opportunities" there ended up being scams?

I don't think the OP is trying to speculate at the level that that needed to "invest" in the offerings in the securities sub-forum. I doubt that blockchain.info will be willing to accept outside investors (unless possibly you have 8 figures to invest) as taking investments carry a lot of costs (mainly regulatory and reporting costs.

They have openly stated that they don't use bank accounts, so unless there becomes a platform to invest solely with cryptos, it would be really difficult to set this up...

You need to give some hint about what are your investing plans.

I would just throw away an email like yours, even if I was in fact looking for investidors.

Thank you all for the thoughtful replies.  It looks like if they wanted money, they would have replied to my email by now.

I love their services!  I would like to have a piece of the action.  SOMEONE will likely win big, and it might very well be blockchain.info (http://blockchain.info).

Waiting on a sharedcoin transaction even now...

At the end of the day, i think they would only consider investors if there was something they needed to raise a lot of money for.

Wow! Talk about sticking to your principles, haha. I'm surprised that they're willing to go that far considering they're a fairly prominent company. I wonder how many other Bitcoin related companies deal solely in Bitcoin.

OP likes the service they provide so want to invest in them. IMO it is not a sufficient reason to make an investment decision. Apart from the good service, return from investment is another important factor. How high level of risk can you bear?
