Title: Scheme & Scam selling - will BTC end it?
Post by: BCEmporium on May 04, 2011, 09:45:50 PM
These times are annoying, as a huge part of the business are now "Readers' Digest" style. Back on the day when you need "that thing" you would go to where they sell "that thing" and pay for "that thing", that was it. The "purity" of the market.
Nowadays however you get "that thing" free however in order to get "that thing" free you need to buy or subscribe something else that is "f***ing" expensive and you don't need or want at all.
Do you think BTC can work as a counter measure for this kind of business? Or it will have no effect upon such thing?

Re-write at all possible?

Not getting you here.

Where ever "free offers" are allowed to be included with the purchase of goods, these "scams" will exist. Buyer beware.

Well, I was just wondering if these lately multiplied "smart ass selling" within BTC could or not be lowered by the sort of currency.

Before this "new sales methods" you buy a pack of detergent and get a spoon free, that's ok, not big harm. Then you would need to buy a whole knife and fork set and get the detergent for "free" (thus it's price is already diluted in the set), still however somewhat ok.
But if it wasn't enough, now it goes by selling you a "subscription" to something - that you will just find when your mobile credit gets short if possible or if you check your checking account balance often - to get an "offer".
This is a bit messy to explain, as what those sort of salesman are aiming is just into create a mess on the brain of the buyer to lure him into "buy" without "buying".
