Title: Descendant of just-dice?
Post by: alani123 on August 06, 2014, 09:49:38 AM
Now that just-dice's bankroll is empty after the recent laws, where are you gamblers/investors moving? What do you think will be the next big dice website?

I am very much sure http://dicebitco.in/ will take place of JustDice.
Because even owner of JustDice has so much interest on this dice site.

Up until the above I would have said Primedice is the winner and Dicenow if you want to invest.  But dicebitco.in seems to have come out of nowhere to attract a lot of investor funds.  This allows it to offer a high maximum bet which seems to be attractive to many.  As long as the owner does not Run Away with the CoinsTM that site may be the closest heir to JustDice.

Though ironically it appears to be down about 5 bitcoins at present.  I imagine math will fix that...

Good Luck!

For dice games, I now use PD for gambling, and use PRC or DiceBit for investing.

Dicebit? You mean DiceBitco.in

I would say play DiceBitco fast and fluid I prefer it to Primedice Luckynumber or Fastbluff.

primedice or dicebitco.in seem to be the next in line (based on BTC wagered per day)

+1 - but dicebitco.in allows investing where Primedice does not

Very true, depends if your looking to play or invest in this instance. I know when Primedice lauches PD3 the house edge is down to 0.9%. (Every bit of edge we get back from the house helps!)

I like DiceBitco.in because it's crowd-funded.

The bet limits are smaller than on PD for some bets, and bigger for others (as I understand it, PD has a limit on payout (stake + profit) of 40 BTC); DiceBitco.in limits just the profit, currently the limit is 13.6 BTC, but it's growing daily.

So if you're playing at 49.5%, 2x, the max bet on PD is 20 BTC and on DB is 13.6 BTC.

But if you're playing at 90%, 1.1x, the max bet on PD is 36.3636 BTC to win 3.6 BTC, and on DB is 136 BTC to win 13.6 BTC.

This might sound like an inappropriate question, but why does someone like you dooglus need to advertise a dice website with your sig?

I don't mind you asking.

I like the site, and am invested there.

I want it to do well.

And it's not like I wasn't already advertising a dice site in my sig for the last year, is it. :)

Unless you've got hundreds or thousands in your account, why would you make such stupid bets when you knew you'd go bust in only 5 bets? Might as well have just donated those coins to the site.

That's no more stupid than any other strategy. You can play to go bust in 6 bets instead of 5, but you make half as much each time.

This site is a bit cheating to me. I have been playing at the other site believe is from the same owner Diceliteco.in

There is a problem with the random roll function (which allow player to change client seed) It only allow you to use one, when I lost, I wanted to change the client seed again,  but the link disappeared. As i was playing with the martingale system, once I lost all my LTC, the random roll function show up again. This did not happen once, it is twice. But if i deposit in more money into it, U can expect that this will continue to happen until I lose all my money. Do you call this site provably fair? with an implemented fuction like this, I don't think so.
Plus the site's rolling delay is 3 seconds,, I think this is long. I would prefer to dice at primedice or peerbet &  www.coin-ga.me (http://www.coin-ga.me/referrer/Qwiner).
The rolling delay period is shorter & client seeds can be manipulated by player anytime they like.

What other dice sites are there?

dicenow - has horrible slow windows 8 'metro' look; crashes my browser constantly
win88 - takes 20% commission, and even charges investors when they lose
prcdice - I find it next to impossible to get a straight answer from them about anything
primedice - no invest option
coinroll - see primedice

Did I miss anyone? I don't know of any other site with decent customer support, an invest option, a stable site, and significant bet volume.

If you do, please enlighten me.

DiceBitco.in isn't my site in any sense. I am involved in 4 ways that I can think of:

1) I have bet there (and am 10.5 BTC up on one account and 2.2 BTC up on the other)
2) I am invested there (60 BTC, with a negative profit)
3) I have them in my forum signature
4) They recently emailed me asking if I could escrow part of this month's signature campaign payment; I accepted

This is not true at all. I even made a follow up post in the forum clearing up any miscommunication we had that one time in the chat since I had already provided you with answers to your questions in the chat.

But if your going to constantly troll PRC chat/threads or constantly put the site down then of course I am not going to be stopping everything I'm doing to talk to you when I have work to do.

Just yesterday I tried talking to you after hearing that you were spreading false rumours about me owning DiceBitco.in.

You said something about a "second statment". When I asked what you were referring to you evaded the question and make some joke about me not being able to count.

That's just the kind of crappy interaction I am referring to.

See this post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=716312.msg8245250#msg8245250) for an unedited log of the interaction, with the relevant lines in bold.

Well, he asked why I didn't like other dice sites, so I told him.

I quite enjoy poker, but I'm not great at it. I used to play quite a bit of blackjack, but mostly because I was experimenting with card counting to see if it really gave me an edge (it did). I've played quite a lot of video poker, when it's +EV (the progressive jackpot gets to a point where it's worth playing).

Mostly I find that so-called "dice" games are just a very simple, pure form of gambling where the chances of winning and the corresponding payouts are right in front of your eyes, and I like that.

Roulette is basically a "dice" game, where you have a (limited) range of different bets you can make - there's the 2x bets (colours, hi/lo, even/odd), the 3x bets (columns), the 6x bets (groups of 6 numbers), etc. The chances to win are much worse than on dice sites, and there's a lower range of bets to chose from. I see it mostly as a crappy form of dice for people who like to see the ball spin.

By Roulette, I think, u mean the wheel game. Do u think slot machine & grids are crappy as well in comparison to pure dice ?

p.s. I'm asking this to u as u have a long experience in running online gambling site.

I mean the wheel game, and I was being a little unfair.

In roulette you can bet on multiple dependent events at once (some on red, some on high, etc) whereas in most dice games you can't. That makes roulette a little more complex.

There's just something I like about the mathematical purity of the "dice" game.

By "grids" do you mean things like keno? If so, I just find them so hard to analyse that I suspect the operator is hiding a massive house edge behind the complexity.

Check this out:

http://lotto.bclc.com/keno-and-keno-bonus/prizes-and-odds.html

Pick 1 number. Odds of winning: 1 in 4. Payout: 2x. That's a 50% house edge right there.
