Title: So what kind of hardware are you currently running ?
Post by: MoreBloodWine on August 06, 2014, 08:03:53 PM
Just curious what kind of setup everyone has.

For me, as of this post... I have three 1 Th/s Dragon miners along with a Prospector200 @ 200 Gh/s and a small rPi rig I use for fun at around 10 Gh/s for a total of 3.2 Th/s.

I also have four S3's I ordered from BitMain, 2 of which should be at my collo guys place tomorrow.

All in all when everything's said and done I should have around 4.97 Th/s assuming everything hashes at spec, even if not I can still realistically expect around 4.89 Th/s. This assumes each of the four S3's only hash around 420 Gh/s which some people have been reporting.

Currently running Antminer S1, Antminer S3 x2, 4 R-Boxes and 4 Antminer U1's (I need something to play with my Raspberry Pi's!) :)

I also have 8 retired block erupter USB sticks and two retired AsicMiner Block Erupter Cubes (which besides the need for a stratum proxy I think are very good devices, extremely stable and great workhorses it's just too bad that they're so inefficient). So anyone willing to buy those Block Erupter Cubes? ;) They'd be great if you have little to no power costs!

Me and my collo guy have an arrangement for $1 per 50w ;-p

Also, seems like you got a nice setup.

How are he SP's treating you ? Haven't heard much on them as of late other than people talking about maybe buying some.

Antminer S1 ~ 1.05Th/s

2 Block Erupter Cubes ~ 42Gh/s (on overclock)

I also have three 333Mh/s usb erupters that were running but now are just pointless.

7 GH/s Butterfly Labs Jalapenos, amongst other things. I keep them running to use up spare Amps at the data center where I have other miners. Each Jalapeno uses up about 0.5 Amps.

They are treating me very nice. Not a single reboot needed since I have them and they do just fine in warmer climates too. After the Jupiters who already gave me a BTC ROI the SP miners are the best choice that I made regarding mining.

I was concerned about them because of how "tight" they look like they might no get great air flow, why I never seriously looked at them.

2 x Antminer S1 - purchased in April, sold last week
1 x SP10 - purchased in May, sold Monday
5 x Antminer U2 - purchased in March, still trying to win the lottery (running in a powered USB hub with an rPi controller)
8 x Antminer S3 - purchased 2 in batch 1, 3 in batch 4 and 3 in batch 5.

The S3s are finicky and nowhere near as reliable as my S1s or my SP10.  Those were set it and forget it.  These require you to babysit them until you find the hash rate that makes them the happiest, and each unit is different.  Once you find that happy place, they're good to go.

S3_1 - 475GH/s (237.5 clock)
S3_2 - 473GH/s (237.5 clock)
S3_3 - 453GH/s (225 clock)
S3_4 - 441GH/s (218.75 clock)
S3_5 - 429GH/s (212.5 clock)
S3_6 - 454GH/s (225 clock)
S3_7 - 469GH/s (237.5 clock)
S3_8 - 452GH/s (225 clock)

I'm running those S3s on 2 EVGA 1300 G2 PSUs (3 S3s per PSU) and 1 Corsair HX1050 (2 S3s per PSU).  I run them in my home.

2 LKETC Dragons (1 runs at 1 TH/s the other around 950 GH/s)
6 Module Jupiter 1530 GH/s
11 S3's all around 440 GH/s
2 Bitfury rigs (360 GH/s and 300 Gh/s)
2 Habanero boards 1.35 TH/s

So 1950+1530+4800+660+1350=10290 GH/s.

Sad part is until Ant S1's dropped so much in price (under .17 now) even with my free power nothing would ROI for me.

- 5 KNC FrankenJup modules
- 4 Bitfury rigs (12-15 cards each)
- 1 BitMain S2
- 1 KNC Neptune with 3 boards
- 10 Gridseed USB thing-a-ma-jigs

Ordered Hardware
- 3 BitMain S3s (I swear, my very last order, lol)
- 1 BFL 1TH Monarch plus compensation 600GHs Monarch

Current Cloudmining
- 1200GHs PBMining
- 2000GHs Lunamine
- 600GHs BFL (compensation for late Monarch)

Retired Gear
- 70 AM USB sticks
- 10 BitMain U1 sticks
- 5 Bitfury sticks
- 8 AM Blades
- 3 BFL 60GHs Singles
- 3 BitMain S1s

Refunded Gear
- 1 600GHs Monarch
- 1 27GHs bASIC

All but the KNC Neptune (original unit), the USB sticks, AM Blades and first 2 Bitfury cards were bought with earned BTC. I've had an overall positive ROI for many, many months. I did sell an early BFL Little Single for a huge profit that I reinvested in BTC.

2 AntMiner S1's, stock settings, kept under glass, each on a Cx750.

In the next week or so I'll (finally) be ready order 3 S3's which should run off of the 2 power supplies (they've had 3 S1's on them before with few issues).

I held on to the 2 S1's with the hope that Bitmain would sell an upgrade kit.
It's likely that the 2 remaining S1's will be listed on ebay when it gets closer to S3 delivery time.

Hosted at a friend of mines business who run a bunch of server stuff. So can't say for sure but temps on everything stay around low 40c.

S3-1: 42
S3-2: 43
S3-3: 43
S3-4: 43

Prospector200: 53 <-- This ones actually at his house in the basement, he had to take it home a few weeks back to work on it.

Dragon-1: No Temp Lead
Dragon-2: No Temp Lead
Dragon-3: No Temp Lead

Then the 9th device is an rPi at my place I play with for fun.

Once I get him to allow port 22 I can OC my S3's to try and get ~500 each. I got lucky with mine and go four units hashing ~440 on stock freq, so they should OC ok.

If I can OC each one to ~500, I'll gain around 240 additional Gh/s all while still paying him he same amount which is $1 per 50w.So basially for the 1Th Dragons @ 1k watts he gets $20 a month per Dragon while averaging $460 a month per Dragon.

Ok, so I've got a response from Bitmain.

Me:
"Are there any plans to sell an upgrade path kit from the S1's to S3's?

Thank you,
_Miracle"

Bitmain:
"Hi,
Is being developed, will open sales soon.

Best Regards
BITMAIN"

Me:
"Thank you for the response. Do you have a time frame? Days, weeks or months?
Will there be a minimum order requirement?

 Wishing you well,
 _Miracle"

Bitmain:
"Hi,
Please wait for our official news :)

Best Regards
BITMAIN"

Guess I'll be keeping at least my original S1 but not holding my breath for the upgrade kit...patience isn't my best virtue, I'll order a couple S3's
