Title: [2014-08-10] Bitcoin Suspected to Be NSA or CIA Project

A white paper on bitcoin was released in 2008, and it was reportedly written by Nakamoto, which roughly means "Central Intelligence" in Japanese.

The team added that Bitcoin Forum, a bitcoin community where Nakamoto used to communicate, usually removes posts connecting bitcoin with CIA.

Erono, I posted this link yesterday and received a lot of flak for it.  :P

What a crock of shit story, void from any facts. {Satoshi Yakamoto another name for CIA}  ;D ;D ;D - What a joker.

Any person involved with creating a new cryptography algorithm will be hesitant to reveal his identity. Why --> If you were to create a cryptographic code, it will put the spotlight on you immediately, from all communication is monitored anyways.

This is a public forum, so everyone can read what you post here. {So no spy shite needed here}

The press not on crack anymore, they injecting shoe polish directly into their brains now.  >:(

Follow the bread crumbs and you will see, this guy was paid to spread FUD about BTC He had no facts in that article to proof what he was saying, everything is thumb sucked.

These people are just stupid, if Bitcoin was an NSA/CIA backdoor, why would they release it open source? The logic just doesn't make any sense, I think it's possible that the person who made it had some kind of link to the intelligence community but they'd probably be another Edward Snowden but instead of just leaking they created an actual counter to all the spying that's going on.

The NSA uses many open source tools from the web, like snort.
They did release some open source things though:
"NSA open sources Google database mimic "
"NSA releases ultra-secure open source Android derivative"
and so on.

Most people at the NSA are more like system administrators, as their job is analyst not software developer or kernel hacker. It is unlikely that they would have developed any coin. Much of their interest goes to security and crypto which is related however. By creating bitcoin they would shoot themselves in the foot - they cannot spy on it easily  :D

Like I said, the NSA/CIA angle just doesn't make any sense when you actually think about the logic people are trying to use to scare us, much like most of the bullshit people make up to get you to do something out of fear.

It makes sense only if 51% of the miners are NSA/CIA owned.

I know you're a busy man but this place is in need of some serious guidance from a professional such as yourself. I mean the general discussion arena is toxic and rife w/ ridiculousness.

Agreed, they are starting to get on my nerves. General discussion arena needs to be caged and segregated. Freaks., weenies, foil-hatted 12 yr olds
Unfortunately I don't think Gav d Man can do anything, even if they are banned, deleted you will then get the other side screaming free-speech, centralized bla bla... As long as Gav is taking care of our beast i'm happy. But off course id love to get rid of these idiots all over this place

News Flash!

Gavin Andresen Admits To Working For The NSA

In a recent posting on the underground hacker forum Bitcointalk.org, the chief economist at the Bitcoin Federation, Gavin Andresen, admitted to working for the NSA at its headquarters in Fort Langley, Maryland. At the time, he lived near the CIA's headquarters in Meade, Virginia and bummed rides from spies traveling to the United States Department of Energy's Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence nearby.

I realize you are joking, but is part of the joke that you and Gavin both mixed up Ft. Meade, MD (NSA) and Langley, VA (CIA)?

Did Coindesk report on this yet? If not someone should tell them!  :)
