This forum should have email confirmation so in case gets your account password, he can't make it his own if he doesn't own your email password too. As of right now, asking for an email is pretty useless since you can't do this. Who had the bright idea to not include email confirmation in this site?

I made this post. I am waiting for a mod to help me out more. Theymos hasn't provided anything and I don't know who else takes care of these situations. Theymos asked us to write the message like this.. all I'm doing is staying on track to get my account back..

Simply putting down the address is not sufficient.

How do I sign a message over Bitcoins android apk. That is what I use.. I don't have the windows QT and never used it.

Hope you get your account back soon! My account was hacked as well but I never got it back (even after supplying all needed evidence).

I added negative trust to your hacked account to warn others. PM me if you get it back so I can remove it.

I hope I am able to get it back.. It is pretty sad that MODS aren't as helpful as they should be.

Thank you for the negative! At least people will know not to touch anything that the hacker posts until hopefully my account gets back to me..

@Theymos if you see this I am working on that bitcoin signature. I never ever used it and I am learning how to do it. I only use my android apk so it might take me a bit to get it going!!!!

Most wallets should be able to sign messages.

Understood.. I am trying to look for the feature in the android apk but can't seem to find it.

I am going to have to pass my wallet.dat to my bitcoin-qt at home and do it that way!

No problem. If you can export a private key, then you can sign the message using a website such as brainwallet.github.io/#sign (https://brainwallet.github.io/) which processes your key on the client-side. Either the inputs.io or Multibit formats should be readable by most people including forum mods here.

No go on the bitcoin android apk..

Only thing it asks me to do is backup and restore wallet.. Nothing about keys. :(

Why not ask either the developer of the wallet, or the forum here in technical support, how to sign a message? I don't have a Droid to test on, so I can't help much, unfortunately.

I can't get a signed message with the bitcoin addy I have. I used Bitcoin.apk for android and no way to get the signed message. I used the testnet version which allowed me to sign A message. But, it said my wallet wasn't working with the testnet. Sad so say I might have to let that account go. CAN A MOD CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT?! I know it's hacked and it should at least be closed down before the hacker sends out more viruses.

I was at 0-0 when i had it..

If you look at it most of them were a day or so after my account was hacked nothing before when I had it.

It was banned a few days ago for malware links.

I wouldn't ban an account just because someone makes another account and says it was hacked though.

Would signing a message (cryptographically) with an address in an old, unedited post be grounds for said account to be returned to owner, and negative feedback for hacker's actions deleted?

Anyway to return the account to me?

If I have to I will even put up my wallet.dat that belongs to the address I used. Primedice knows I use that addy. Also that addy is displayed on my twitter account.. I just want my account back.

IMO, not necessarily. Thinking it over, there are a several situations which make that not as secure a method as you would think. Someone who has their account hijacked, likely had their computer compromised as well, and could have easily lost control of their private key. Original owner gets the account back, then the hijacker uses the private key which he now controls to get the account back under his control.  Or someone sells their account, then uses that to regain control of the account. There are several situations like this I can think of off the top of my head, and probably more I haven't thought of. There are many things to consider when it comes to these situations, which is why I've said I won't be restoring accounts.

I really don't care about the bitcoin keys. Plenty of wallets for new Addy's and keys. I have multiple laptops at home. I know which one was affected and I terminated it. I just want my account back :(

My bitcoin talk account was hacked not my bitcoin wallet.. If they did they are SOL because not even a penny is on my wallet.

No one is talking about BAN. My account was HACKED. Two differences. If you don't have anything good to say. Please, don't say anything at all. I don't have time to waste on people like you.

Since I couldn't get my hacked account back. The hacked account banned itself.. It was passing around viruses. Please stay on topic. I know what I' talking about. Nice try :)
I offered to dump my wallet.dat for that address linked to my account. I guess that Isn't good enough tho.
