You must send money to MtGox

and buy bitcoins tomorrow

Great image of intense capitalistic focus from the Afghani perspective! And curiously, I am on board . . .

I doubt it. All these people drawing cute little lines trying to predict the future. In a few weeks, someone else will draw a new graph claiming there was some pattern to be seen and say "see, I said that!" when it's going up again.

Also, I noticed people in for shorting bitcoin are deliberately spreading negative outlooks to earn money. Unless you are a day-trader constantly watching the market and doing very sophisticated analysis, you are likely in to lose cash in the long run. You also need to be much quicker than if you buy low and sell high. The other way around, your chances are people will use the low prices to buy loads of coins and the price may jump back up much more quickly, while you might have already lost cash.

Shorting is always more risky than going long because you can lose more than just the money you invested. With the money you took to buy bitcoins you can be sure you won't ever lose more than that sum in worst case scenario.

So, I'll save the money used for fortune tellers and use it instead for fortune cookies. At least their predictions come along with some calories.

looking at the current bitcoin.clarkmoody.com d1 chart it shows a rough 4 point dip-rise progression for the last three months. I just can't work out whether the next point in 2-3 days is going to be significantly up, or significantly down - after all that is around most people's payday.

I asked ask8ball.net the above paragraph.

The response was

I've found the key to be to say a whole lot of stuff and then remind people of when I happen to have been right.

My technical analysis of the last four nanoseconds clearly shows up for 3 or 4 nanoseconds and then hard down for 2 nanoseconds.  After that, I have no idea.

honestly i think we are going sideways for a very long time.

5$ wall is bigger then it seams, support under 4.5 is stronger then anyone thinks.

this will hold true for months!

and when it finally breaks, it wont be going down.

take a step back.

look at All Data chart.
ask your self the following questions

why 0.5$
why 5$
why 30$
why 14$
why 2$
why 7$
why 5$

now all that considered, is 5$ the new 0.50$   :P

I certainly hope not! Otherwise, when we dip back below $4 (the old $.10?), everyone will be scrambling for the exits.

I can almost guarantee that the price won't behave in the future like it did during the timespan you represented there.  The days of the kind of gains we saw in 2010, 2011, and early 2012 are over.

I think bitcoin has proven its resilience for the time being, and I do think the price will go higher than it is now this year, but I doubt very much we'll see sustained prices above $10 in the next year, and I don't think we'll see a billion dollar market cap even in the next four years.

As I've said elsewhere, I think this year the price is going to go up (a summer boom) and then fall again and settle for some time back in the single digits ($6-7).

A bearish chart pattern used in technical analysis that is created by drawing one trendline that connects a series of lower highs and a second trendline that has historically proven to be a strong level of support.

a small update soon the triangle will end

It's going to end with the price creeping out of the upper trendline, slowing drifting down, and then breaking through the lower trendline.  Just watch.  We're not done with the $4s.

the real question is...what is he waiting for? does he think he could sell 20K bitcoin in a few days and get an average price of 5.05 pre BTC? MAYBE!

we are moving on up, 5$ is where the tables turn, its been really hard getting over 5$, but that's a good thing.

$5 very well may be an important resistance/support zone before moving up (like $1 was early last year), but I can almost guarantee that a move away from $5 will not be like last year's move away from $1.  I think a strong break away from $5 might, might, retest the 2012 high.  And maybe, maybe, set a new high for 2012.  But, I'm doubtful of a move to $10, to say nothing of a move beyond $10, this year; and regardless of how high the price goes during the remainder of 2012, well, you know what I think about that.

highlighted a few key words their

theirs no reason to think we wont see an other crazy boom in price. in fact i would say a huge boom up and over 32 is inevitable! Due to the self perpetuating nature of bitcoin(it really works!).  It could take 10 years... but its going to happen.. 50$ a bitcoin only means  500 million dollar Market Cap...  its really not that much when you think of the bitcoins global reach, and its utility (its e-gold, no not e-fools-gold, real fucking e-gold)

once you sold out it all at 10$ will you ever buy back if it never goes lower?
