Description:

HertzCoin specifically designed in order to become digital international currency for spectrum trade and sale (aka Spectrum Secondary Market).

What common RF spectrum have with digital currency?

First of all both digital currency and RF spectrum are non-material values. Actual value of digital currency and RF spectrum may grow significantly over time and in dependence on current market demand.
Second reason for associating RF spectrum and digital currency is because both of those non-material values are limited at its nature. Natural limitation of RF spectrum and CC maximum coin pool allows more stable and flexible correlation between values and their prices/per hertz/per technology.

Why would they need to trade spectrum for coins and vice-versa?

The idea behind association coins and RF spectrum is avoidance legislation problems for companies whose business directly dependent on RF spectrum availability (i.e. celluar operators, TV broadcast companies, smaller point-to-point service providers and even in long term perspective - satellite capacity resellers and providers). In most countries RF spectrum currently considered as Government property that being leased to the private companies. That makes all direct trade deals with spectrum either impossible or very complicated. However there are few exceptions, where trades of spectrum (spectrum secondary market) is officially allowed. HZ coin will benefit both of those creating single, government independent environment for spectrum trades that will allow customers in countries that have severe legislative limitations for spectrum deals (i.e. ban for direct sales) to still participate in such deals. HZ will not only enable RF Spectrum secondary market in countries where there is none but also provide more flexible tool for spectrum deals in countries where secondary market already available and will make international deals much more accessible (i.e. buyer will not need to go very deep in local regulations in order to buy or sell spectrum). The value of spectrum currently may be determined from the spectrum possible application and demographic, however this determination is subjective and we believe that only universal, dollar independent currency will allow worldwide place for spectrum secondary market. The future of spectrum market will look like global stock market that use digital, world economy independent currency that is not being subject for single country regulations.

It's getting like this seemingly with every launch. If you're gonna rent, it's better to wait until after 12-24 hours when the first renter cycle drops off and difficulty lowers.

You obviously do not know much about RF spectrum, this coin is a flop.
I work in the industry and when spectrum becomes available, it is auctioned to the highest bidder.

Can you go on the IRC?  The channel #hertzcoin is feeling kind of empty :/.

That and once again, the coin is claiming to be tied to the value of something when it has no actual backing, only the premise people might use it to purchase that substance. Who in the industry is seriously going to use this coin to purchase rf spectrum. In the UK we have several free bands for general use and everything else is auctioned off. There's no spectrum to sell.

With competition more fierce than ever to get a block in any particular area of the spectrum, it runs into the 100s of millions just for a piece.

Please explain why any bidder of spectrum would use your coin?

Even if some silly little company put a bid in on the low end it would take every coin you have in circulation at a price of $10 or more and on top of that, the govt auctioning it would not accept this silly coin.

This is a scam backed by nothing.

The only way this will work is if the coins are already tied to a number of frequency that are for sale. So if anyone who is reading this owns some RF frequencies you could really make a killing if you'd sell frequency bands with this coin, but if there are no frequencies to back the coin...DOA.

So if the coins dont represent ownership of a certain spectrum (they can't because of the difference between area/use) what exactly is the benefit of using HZ in trading? They aren't 'backed' so I just dont see the reason anyone would switch to using HZ or even be able to. Please explain.

The interesting thing about spectrum secondary market is there are always some frequencies for sale. And put aside big frequencies like GSM - they are way too expensive. However there is a huge market under this and sellers/buyers act very much like you act trading crypto. For a big frequency exchange example in USA you may check spectrum bridge - but there is nothing similar easy to pick up in Europe. Ofc there are some legislative constrains but they are easy to overcome when you know what papers print and what bureaucracy to follow while dealing with spectrum.

Yes but why would anyone suddenly switch to using your coin to sell their spectrum when they could just get real cash straight away? You've already identified a market where I can do exactly that. How are you going to use this coin alongside any contracts that may be required in licensing certain frequencies? If i just buy 13.2Ghz off someone, what's to say they own it and what's to say it's even legal for them to sell it on? If you'd released this coin alongside a working market place for such a transaction, you might have produced a respectable coin.

This is a problem that isn't specific to this coin but for all of crypto. This is the reason BTC price doesn't move when DELL announces it accepts it as payment currency. Why pay with BTC, Hertz or fukcing Zebra if you can pay with your credit card and get airmiles in the process?

Pff easy. Nobody will buy buy spectrum for unproven coin that's right. But every small to medium buyer will trade spectrum if the trading service will effectively eliminate paperwork and legislation problems. Secondary spectrum trades are very appealing, but it is hard to estimate spectrum cost, because it varies vastly depending on band/technology/area - so why do not offer smaller deals unified currency to participate in smaller exchanges using service similar to current crypto exchange but for spectrum? Basically rights for spectrum will truly belong to a single company (exchange), others will make trades, untill at some point they will decide to use this part of the spectrum. At this point exchange simply does paperwork and legislate this spectrum. Basically it works like "cold wallet" for spectrum, where you may either speculate on the spectrum market price or simply buy your desired part of the spectrum and use it. Ofc it will work differently based on the territory and local regulations, but most of the Europe for example have pretty similar regulatory rules for secondary spectrum trades and it is vastly allowed. How to persuade people to participate in such a deal? That`s a whole different story. First of all we need to establish service that actually allows it to be done. Then we need to maintain few deals - no matter how small they will be - if it will be visible - me and my team can force coverage of the precedent from within ITU.

Because when dealing with cash - you have no room for maneuver. Every sale with cash will be buried in tons of paperwork and legislative problems. Using single hub and working under financial regulations but within RF framework will not break any laws, and will be appealing to those who is not willing to pay a fortune just to seal the deal. The interim agent that will gather all allocation until "withdrawal" point will make it happen. Also it is in no way shady - everything is legal - just simplified via "currency" that do not put special obligations on counterparts just to make single transaction.

You don't have any room for manoeuvre with a crypto trade either. No one is going to sell you a section of spectrum for the equivalent of $5 and you can't get round the paperwork. The price is what it is due to current demand.

Why is that? Do you familiar with current paperwork that wraps any fiat deal (no matter if you buying bread or house)? More than that even more paperwork wraps every spectrum assignment. No Assume that company A want to buy spectrum in region X and company B wants to sell it. They use company C as a middle agent. Company B submits spectrum rights for the C and this allows then to place sell order. Company A sees that sell order and buys it out. 2 reasons why it cant be done directly:
1. There is no unified place where it can be done.
2. Both A and B have no slightest idea how spectrum licensing works (we are speaking of fairly small companies, that for example need to bring up radio relay line or proprietary high-power wi-fi network)
Now they have to pay 500$/hour to lawyers who pay 300$/hour to other consultants to make any deal possible. With crypto it is possible to just leave C as a mediator, who will hold assignments that are for sale until "withdraw" order is in place - at that point for smallest fee all paperwork will be done in a matter of minutes. Also dont forget that when you buy anything for fiat it is huge pain in the ass, because of agreements, acceptance etc. It is way harder to put an agreement for buying 1Hz than and agreement to buy 1Coin, and legally speaking spectrum assignments will be distributed for "free" - all payments will be done via coins.

You said yourself that a lot of the control is done by governments. You will never be able to get around this problem as they own all spectrum bandwidths that become available. The paperwork is there for a reason- if you can provide a marketplace for such a deal with your coin to make this paperwork easier, then you have a useful coin as people will use your platform to make the trade. Is this something you would consider developing?

Do you have any market data to suggest there is an active trade in spectrum ownership on a day to day ownership? I have read through all of the links you have provided and can't see any obvious evidence of this kind of trade.

That ANN is the biggest load of BS ever. Not only that but it appears that it was google translated from another language. How exactly is this coin related to RF spectrum auctions or even RF spectrum itself? Those auctions are for assigning commercial licenses by the way. Are you a government entity that is able to assign a commercial RF license to a company? I highly doubt it. From a legal standpoint, coming up with a coin like this is a good way to land yourself in jail.

Secondary spectrum market may function anyway you want, it is way less regulated than the primary market that have strict rules. Anybody can create platform for it, and make ppl use it.

Normal blockhash should contain bunch of zeroes in the beginning, previousblockhash is valid 0000000000676a85677427e80f023738d11b6493262706c8bfb1f9200cdf7ed9, current and the next one are not, just arbitrary numbers, check proof of work is completely skipped, they "mined" loads of blocks by themselves.
