Title: Exchanges

Hi, can someone tell me about exchanges of crypto currency (btc+altcoins)?  ???

you can trade bitcoins and altcoins on various sites like Btc-e.com (bitcoin+alt coins), mintpal.com (alt coins) , bittrex.com (alt coins) these are the best sites available.

BTC-E is probably the best one for BTC + Alt coins (trustworthy ones that is) however their security isn't the best and when I say that I mean it's based on your security no theirs (if you get hacked there's no 2 factor auth or confirmation e-mail requests).

If you're purely doing BTC then I suggest bitstamp, cointree or Volabit (if Barry Silbert approves than so do I)

All of them are reachable online. You can deposit BTC or alt coins, and exchange them using a fee. You can usually exchange BTC, LTC, PPC, USD and some others. They have different levels of security, some have two factor authentication. Sometimes an account gets hacked, so security is very important.

I prefer btc-e for both btc+altcoins sometimes Cryptsy or indacoin.

BTC-E is a decent exchange for btc, when trading alts I usually go for either Cryptsy or Bittrex. There are lots of other smaller exchanges you could try but personally I would just use the larger exchanges as they are less likely to be hacked etc

I think most of people now use Bittrex.com to trade altcoins. It's one of the top altcoin exchange right now.

But for BTC, Altcoin and Fiat exchanges site, i would prefer BTC-e.com

Yes Poloniex is great and has a nice dev but also Bittrex is one of the most interesting exchanges.
I'm also registered in Mintpal, the design is simple but smart, I would advice you to try all of them and then choose your preferred.

Hi, can someone tell me about exchanges of crypto currency (btc+altcoins)?  ???

There are different types of exchanges.
Some like Bitstamp allow users to make btc/fiat trades, some like Cryptsy allows users to make altcoins/btc trades, some like localbitcoins provide a platform for users to make peer-to-peer trades.

I would like to ask, is there anything that has been analysing this coin?

Can be this coin survive for long time enough as like bitcoin?.

I just make sure that to earn money from this does not wasting my time, thanks  ;D

There are a bunch of them.  You should do research on a bunch of the big ones and see which looks safest to you.  For instance I know BTC-e has been around but it's not in an English speaking country and I always have trouble with what they're trying to communicate so I worry that one will go belly up at some point.

For paypal, you can use Virwox https://www.virwox.com/. The fee is pretty high, but it works.

For USD, you mean wire transfers? If so, almost all exchanges accept USD wire transfers.

I suggest you use Bitstamp.net it is trustworthy and their UI is decent plus they have customer support that will answer your questions within 24-48 hours and speak ENGLISH instead of translators.

But never make a mistake of storing BTC on an exchange.

Here is a guide to help new users verify authenticity of file download from internet, installing offline wallet and broadcasting transactions online without ever revealing private key(s) with pictures:
http://www.btcguys.us/blog/how-to-create-offline-wallet-with-electrum-bitcoin-client-and-broadcast-transactions

it is best practice to read about common frauds/scams related to BTC on bitcointalk before getting into BTC

For bitcoin exchanges, you may try Btc-e, Bitstamp, Coinbase (if you are in US) and Localbitcoins (if you want to do it p2p).

So yup, it is shady but it is still working well at this moment. :)

i would definetly recommend btc-e, used them for years, and never a single problem that wasnt handled properly

on their side. if ure looking into altcoin, take a look on cryptsy or bittrex, but i dont realy like either of them due to

some deposit/withdraw problems they allways have when a certain coin is pumped.

Actually few months ago mintpal was more popular then cryptsy, but then somebody hacked into mintpal and it is not so popular now.

I assume they are ranking the exchanges by user experience rather than popularity.

According to http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/markets/info, Cryptsy has a higher trade volume than Bittrex with Mintpal and Poloniex following.

Title: Re: Exchanges
Post by: FeelTheBeat on September 20, 2014, 10:17:08 PM
Depends on a day. It were days when mintpal had 5k+ BTC volume (actually I meant that with popularity) but cryptsy only 2k etc... So that days mintpal had constantly each day higher volume than cryptsy.
So wherever whales move there is the highest volume.

For alt-coin exchanges I think bittrex is pretty good. Cryptsy is very annoying and not reliable in alt-coin withdrawals (once a doge withdrawal of just 10000 took more than a day).

Cryptsy is still a key player, especially for older coins. The main problem of Cryptsy now is that they list new coins much slower than Bittrex. That's why Bittrex is getting more and more trading volumes.

I'd say Cryptsy is still good for older coins, but for trading newer coins Bittrex is clearly taking the lead.
