A new Independence has been declared:

We will stand together in solidarity and not betray the true essence of Bitcoin.

The Borg would welcome bitcoin to their collective consciousness.

I haven't watched the video or visited the page yet but I'm all for it.

You've spelled "Rich White People Whining" wrong.

LOL.

What matters is the principle and the ethics regardless of it coming from the rich or poor, white or off-white.
What we are fighting for will raise the standard of living of everyone worldwide and possibly prevent a drone from dropping a bomb
on an African Village.

I get it though, it almost could be twisted into a "first world problems" bit... :D

Hey actually this was a very well-done video. It inspired me about bitcoin again even though the price is being beaten up as we speak. I recognized a lot of voices, and a few faces.

They truly believe bitcoin is the next big thing, and maybe it will be. This video is a good watch for people who feel like they need to regain some inspiration.

Yes, I liked the video very much.

It's symbolic, it brings an important message that reminds us all why we are here: that we are not here only for the pump, the dump, the hype and the FUD. It reminds us that, in the first place, we fighting for freedom, helping to build a better world.

I hope we will not simply forget what really matters and eventually get lost.

Video is awesome, very natural fully agreed with these statements When we say Bitcoin, we mean the idea: the birth of cryptocurrency. We know it's not perfect. But we're not after perfection, we're after progression. We're after a way out. And we will not stop.
It's in early ages nothing can be expected to be perfect.

There's no opportunity for me to watch the videos. Can you explain what your premise, hypothesis, or position is so we can discuss it?

Its a bunch of "bitcoin celebrities" re-emphasizing the inherent sovereignty that was part of bitcoin's original design. Its a lot of talking in the first person but they all seem genuinely concerned about the issue at hand, even though it is not addressed directly (upcoming cryptocurrency regulation).

They are basically making the point that bitcoin was meant to be anonymous, untaxed and free to be used by anybody without having to sign over any amount of control to any government.

They don't specifically use words like "regulation", it just seems to be the undertone of the message.

What I like more it's the idea of Bitcoin Foundation that Bitcoin will help the poor ones: it's handled by rich people with the aim to get richer. Crumbles to poor ones.

Yes it is an eminent paradox that this supposed "tool to bring financial freedom to poor masses" is more commonly referred to as "a toy of the 1%."

Bitcoin wasn't designed to solve poverty, it helps whoever uses it, poor or rich.
Why don't you stop complaining about bitcoin and create your own solutions to help the poor?  Poorcoin?
Not all of us are white, affluent, or living in the first world either.

Wow, defensive much? I think a nail was hit very hard on the head earlier this morning.

Not all of us are white, affluent, or living in the first world either.

No, but the vast, vast, VAST majority of "us" are.

What does it matter what genetic background bitcoin users are? The whole concept of race is an illusion anyways because there is greater genetic differentiation between 2 "black" humans 5 km apart in Africa than between either one of them and a "whitey" in Sweden.

Don't let perfection be the enemy of improvement. Bitcoin was never meant to solve all the worlds problems.

Uh, no there's not.

The point is in retrospect the video is a little bit smarmy. The general message is, "We rich white people demand freedom!"

Which is cool. I mean, after all, its how America got started. And that went on to become the biggest corporation the world has ever seen.

It was fiat that allowed my beloved America to become the most prosperous nation on earth.  We must not forget that.  If America turns it's back on fiat, it will be doomed.

I honestly don't think that's a problem given the slow rate of adoption cryptocurrency is encountering. Plus there will always be a need for physical money.

Double plus it will be world that turns its back on the dollar, not America.

Yes, I agree.  People are realizing that Bitcoin is just a scam and coming back to fiat.  It's much safer to just save and transact with dollars.

Double plus it will be world that turns its back on the dollar, not America.

The rest of the world is fortunate that we allow them to use our dollars to share in our prosperity.  If they get out of line, then that privilege will be revoked.

The entire video could have been compressed in the following two seconds of talk:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQqZ9b0S0BY#t=79 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQqZ9b0S0BY#t=79)

This guy needs his own talkshow.

Love ya buddy but deep V neck shirts and unbuttoned henleys are probably not a good idea.

Yeah.  Im sure a lot of good folks in that video.  But the weird-factor is a bit high.  People will probably make fun of it rather than listen to the message.

Redo the video and get a stylist / director to help the speakers message be more noticeable than their appearances/demeanors/facial expressions.

I disagree. It is more natural, a message from the real people. It is 'raw' and I like it.
And Charlie is the best! A man and his message stright from the home arrest ;)

This is really not true. America's industrial economy allowed it to be as prosperous as it is today. Since the industrial revolution technology has also helped the US's economy grow and prosper (the technology sector). Fiat has simply been what trade in the US economy has been done it. If trade was done in some other way then it would not have effected as to how big the US economy has grown to become, as long as the method of trade is something that is widely accepted and easily spent.

Yeah fiat is the reason this country is falling apart also... Don't forget to add that fact when your telling the story.  Paper with no real value being printed out of thin air and controlled by a small group is what made America the country it is in many ways.
