Title: [Help] Zeus miner thunder X6 problem psu
Post by: drov on August 14, 2014, 01:26:05 PM
Hello, I've recieved my miner today and I'm running into the first problems.

I plugged everything with my psu, I ran into a lot of troubles detecting it with cgminer and ended up without succes so I ran into bfgminer who detected it but if I look at it it's not running, the fans aren't running etc, so I guess it's my psu who isn't starting but since there is no motherboard type connection or anything ( just 2 pci-e 6/8 pins cable) I don't see how the signal can come to the psu to tell it to start running and give power...

Any help would be appreciated :)

You need to make a bridge on mb connector between the green and 1 black wire, you can use a paperclip or a little pice of wire, you can see a tutorial here http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-power-up-an-ATX-Power-Supply-without-a-PC/

Thanks it worked ! Now I run cgminer with this config :

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool.omnicoin.cc:3333 -u x -p password -S //./COM4 --nocheck-golden

problem is I mine at 17 mh/s which is a bit low but acceptable, the real problem is taht I get very few accepted shares, not many hw errors but I get like 1 accepted share per minutes when I get like 5000 with my graphic card
