Title: Bitcoin2048.com
Post by: iluvbitcoins on August 17, 2014, 11:22:14 AM
So I just found this website online

apparently if you get a 16384 tile number you get 1BTC

Do you guys think it's legit?  :-\

I doubt it's legit. Even though the tile would be hard to get, there will be bots and macros that would make it a lot easier. Maybe the site makes it impossible to get that tile. Either way, I don't think it's legit.

Nah man. I've been playing it mostly because I enjoy the game and I've gotten pretty high scores and it give you NO WHERE near the amount it says its gonna give you for reaching a certain milestone. I literally only have about .00000250 BTC and Ive been messing with it for like 3 days.

the site relies on client-side javascript being executed correctly... and it seems to not do any checks on the server side. so someone seems to have not taken web design 101.
I just gave myself a balance of 123.456 and there are others with way higher balances, would be really cool if it paid. ;)

Probably...
But it's also relatively simple to send a full, valid, and plausible history of a game that goes to 16384 because they don't transmit the seed for the random number generator, so you basically have free choice of placing the next tile. And even if they would transmit it, you could still calculate everything in advance and then choose the best strategy to have a high chance on 16384.
Also, if you just want to rely on AI without modifying the code on the site, you can easily get 8192 in a few seconds, if you're lucky also 16384 after a few tries.

So it remains: Never gonna work, best not waste time, there are websites with much fewer ads where you can play 2048 :p

[edit]
there are tons of strategies for 2048, google is your friend.

There is no way these guys would be abke to maintain a payout of 1 BTC for the 16K square anyways. If 100 visitors gets em a max of like $20. And 1 out of each 100 visitors gets the 1 BTC jackpot, what happens? Exactly.

@FastSlots , a lot of people were using BOTS that's why the website got closed before .
Now even if we play legit , the website won't pay . Owner is probably just trying to make a quick buck from Ads on the website and I guess he succeed to be honest .

Thanks for clearing that up @madness.

Actually I find the site super interesting, and to be honest I had planned to do something similar at some point. The reason I did not is exactly because of the problem with bots. If you want to offer a game with a strong skill component (like 2048) for money, then the payout scheme has to be done in such a way that even the bots don't win on average. But if bots are better than humans at a game, it becomes completely unattractive to humans, which is a bit lame too :-)

Basically, I think it would be rad to use this concept with a game where humans are better than bots. Can't think of such a game atm though.

Did you play manually or using bots

There are very small tiles on the other fields and just the big tile

It is very  clear on the FAQ

People trying to cheat the game will not get any BTC

We are trying our best to come up with a way on how to identify cheating players from good ones.

And not just trying to make a quick buck from Ads

Here are some proof of payments  We already paid 7.7 Bitcoins to the players ans maybe double of that to developers to build a system to stop cheaters  and still paying.

I've achieved 0.00047408 BTC by playing this game with no use of cheats. I waited two weeks (as the game recommends) and no payment was sent to my wallet. I also tried to send the site an e-mail but I received no answer. It seems like no one got to the biggest prize considering the current site stats. :(

[edit]
And the max prize is now reduced to 0.3 BTC. Still much higher than the second one (0.0016384).

It just dosen't worth it dude , my friend got decent amounts from them and he got 0.00011 BTC or something at the end and if you check the blockchain transaction you will see that they send the same amount to a lot of people even if they earned more then that .
Testing them will be just a waste of time unless you wil learn few satoshi's then you will probably get paid otherwise .. just drop it.

I used to play at this site because I thought that this is a great way for me to earn something for free! No actual work to day except play and I had some experience playing this. Getting 4096 was quite easy to me and before they added the captcha system, I had used bot to play with this and earn a ton. It was 0.001 or something like that if my memory is correct but they never paid me a single cents

the bad thing about this site its that is scam!!!!  :P :P

It is a scam since long time ago, unfortunately I got 3 times of payments. Not a big amount because I only earn it from referrals. First time it was so easy to get some satoshi from this site because the rewards were high enough but then they reduced it then add a captcha then become scam :)
