What does this taint feature do exactly how do I use it?

I think it's to do with hiding stolen coins.
Sending them through a large wallet not related to your own then claiming them back through another wallet.
That way the amount you receive back will be the same, but the coins will likely have a different history.

Wow so is using blockchain illegal? or is it a tool to find thieves.

What is taint?

I see so its a tool for catching criminals. I guess I won't be using that  :D
