Algorithm is #NeoScrypt: Its CPU and GPU minable, right now there is no existing GPUminer so CPU only. Worth to take a look! Title: Re: I have a lot of cpu power Post by: degel_x on August 19, 2014, 06:50:56 PM Monero

Title: Re: I have a lot of cpu power Post by: CoinDiver on August 19, 2014, 09:08:28 PM This is interesting. I've got access to a rack or servers that are currently entirely unutilized. 32 2.8ghz cores, 72 gb RAM. Worth bothering with?
Title: Re: I have a lot of cpu power Post by: plonky on August 19, 2014, 09:47:13 PM Always check if your cpu has AES-NI (intel hw).
If so it can be profitable to mine XMR for exemple. If not, most miner will be very slow ! Title: Re: I have a lot of cpu power Post by: cakir on August 19, 2014, 10:41:09 PM https://cryptonote.org/coins.php

If somehow it's in a place no electricity cost with that many cores it would not pay a lot... but might be worth trying for a month just in case the coin ever goes up in value a lot. |
