...question is, how much keener has this feeling got to get before a critical mass of people get burned on the bounce?

No I didn't because honestly, I don't care.

Amazing to watch the exchange sell walls appear. That is some proper whale money pushing things around, big money is making its $ short selling profit on the way down, when it bounces they will buy even more and make it all again and more on the way up.

Must be why the Fiat FX market is so quiet these last months! Poor BTC is like a baby currency for the big whales of the FX world compared to USD and Euro etc. so easy to push around for them and they can short sell without anyone crying over their shoulder!

Cant wait until they decide to flip the switch and push the price in the other direction:)  Im bullish until 2k is reached or 50$ is broken, until then Im expecting a big buy reaction to all this selling!

Disclaimer: I remain bullish on the price to reach 1kpBTC minimum, I have a vested interest in higher BTC prices = in people not selling at the lows. My last buy in was at 475, hard (highest) target to sell: just under 2kpBTC

To me this smells like the manipulated precursor to 1000+

I think capitulation is now near in time, but not necessarily near in price.

If you're in it for the long term you shouldn't care.

The more FUD is here, the closer to the rally we are.

Do you mean, a death spiral? I hope not. I can't predict it's unfolding... ::)

I mean a deeper (flash) crash if things really begin accelerating. The sentiment does seem quite deep into "Fear". But at this point, any sizable intraday bounce will neutralize this scenario, for now.
